March 17, 2005

By Kate Lawson / Detroit News Food Writer

For each bun:
  1 teaspoon butter, softened
  1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon chopped pecans, walnuts or peanuts (optional)
  1 teaspoon honey
  1 package extra-large refrigerated biscuits
1 teaspoon Jif creamy peanut butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray extra large muffin tins with cooking spray.
Place butter, brown sugar, nuts and honey in bottom of each muffin tin. Split each biscuit in half and spread peanut butter generously on one half. Place peanut butter half of biscuit on sugar mixture, peanut butter side up, and top with second half of biscuit.
Bake 11-15 minutes or until golden brown. Carefully turn over onto serving plate. Serve warm. Makes 8 servings.
