Referees

The refs. blew another call in tonights game, by not calling

a major penalty on Larouque.

That knee on knee on Kronwell, was intentional, and deserved a

major, game suspension and further suspension by Campbell.

The nhl refereeing sucks, and so do the supervisors that

audit the refs., to insure there doing their jobs.

On another note

I believe that Bertuzzi should be waived,The Wings should bring up a player from Grand Rapdids that can pass, and take a pass, which Bertuzzi cannot.

He is constanly turning pucks over by his poor passing and recieving "skills.

This disrupts any flow the Wings offence has.

Get rid of this Turkey!

over ripe wing prospects

The Wings have had the luxury of letting draft choices get

lots of experience in the ahl, colleges and juniors.

because of their success they have had the time to do this.

The Wings have been drafting for the most part, high numbered

draft picks, which because of their success, have been projected draft picks.

If the Wings drop down in stature, they will be getting draft picks that are more ready to play in the nhl.

If they drop to a bottom feeder they will need to draft prospects that have more nhl ready skills ,instead of projecting that skill over time.

Kyle Quincey, Colorado Avalanche defenseman

In any barroom conversation about the NHL's most valuable blueliners, Quincey would come up about as often Jack Klugman's old Quincy character on TV. (The exception is My Brother's Bar in Denver. The poets in that terrific place would know about Quincey with an e.) Yet, Quincey has been a force, a complement to newly heralded goalie Craig Anderson.

Quincey is playing the kind of minutes usually reserved for players named Pronger or Niedermayer, an average around 25 that includes the heavy sledding on special teams and against top lines. He is only 24, which should not qualify him as a late bloomer. Drafted 132nd overall by Detroit in 2003, Quincey was considered a prospect there but got stuck at the end of the conga line of talented defensemen. The Los Angeles Kings snapped him up on waivers last October, milking a 38-point season from him before flipping him to the Avalanche in a deal that brought veteran left wing Ryan Smythe. To go from a waiver guy to a valuable piece that landed Smythe is a quantum leap. If Quincey can help the Avalanche to an unexpected playoff berth, he will be one rung further up the ladder of success.

End the hypocricy please

As I mentioned in my previous post-check nhl rosters.

These are some on rosters enstrom, ferrance, hunwick, cumiskey, liles, robidas, lebda, meech, rafalski, visnovsky, koitanen, harrold, hickey, johnsson, zidlickey, greene, mottau, meyer, campoli, timonen, goligoka, weaver, boyle, gunnarson and white.

yYu ask why is there a need for small defenceman.

Since the rule changes there are alot more powerplays, and the small defenceman that has to be a good skater and puck handler are in demand for powerplays.

The nhl today is faster than ever and good skaters are in demand, especially for puck possession teams.

End the hypocricy please

I would have thought that based on your scouting experience,

you would have noticed the trend towards smaller defenceman.

Check the Nhl rosters, and you will see many small defenceman

on them. Since the the clutching and grabbing has been reduced ,the number of small defenceman playing in the nhlhas has

increased.,

Great performance

Howard stole a game for the Wings with his great effort.

It seems that if Howard's confidence is good, his play reflects it.

Zetterberg scored a goal with a shot, few players can make.

P.s where the hell was this effort, when they played the Leafs?

CyberSurvey: Bringing back Bertuzzi

Bertuzzi has skating been well ,but his passing skills and recieving skills are poor.

The turnovers have been disrupting the Wings offensive attempts, plus the puck ends up in the Wings end.

So far Bertuzzi has been a negative addition to the Redwings.

Toronto's team

Size had nothing to do with the outcome of last nights game.

The difference was nights before and the Wings rested.

No excuse-poor effort and poor timing on Ysermans all

star weekend.

makes me want to puke with the money these doggars are making!

Poor Effort

Looking at the Lack of effort displayed by the Wings tonight, you would think they were playing back to back games, instead of the Leafs.

The Wings are making another rookie goaltender look like the second coming of "Sawchuck".

Lebda is playing P---Poor and the Line changes look like its a Peewee game.

I hate the Leafs with a passion and this display makes me want to puke.

Milhouse

All that you get for the nhl minimum is hasbeens or players that have had lousy previous years.Because of Holland holding out for Hossa signing, he had to sign what was avaiable and not 500,000 type players.

Issues - yes more than goaltending

I agree with your dislike for Feraro commentating.

Feraro is constantly slaming the Wings, and bragging up any

Canadian team.

He is biased as it gets, and repeats himself all game long.

Hope he gets other employment.

THE FORUM...

Now this self proclaimed " know it all" is dictating what

topics posters can write about on here..

Guess what "Milhouse!" if your not happy, with the topics discussed on here ,you know what you can do.

You have every facet of the Redwings figuered out, so just sit back with your smug "beer league face" and think about how great and smart you are. I am sick of your "knoW it all"attitude"

Mon. 10/26/09 05:58 PM

slump

Lebda stick defelected the puck into the net and changed the angle.

Goalies

When ex goalie Holland was named a scout I thought that he

would be able to scout and draft a great goalie.

Holland was insrumental in drafting Osgood and he will be in the hall someday.

What I was hoping for was a game saver type of goalie, now Osgood has been a good and sometimes great goalie, but I was hoping for a Brodeur,Millar and Lunquist type of goalie.

With all the great Redwing teams of recent years, if we had that

type of Goalie our cup total while impressive as it is, would have been great.

After 5 yrs. of grooming Howard i do not have any faith that, he will be the one.

Maybe McCollum hopefully will be the goalie, we have been hoping for.

Even as great as Holland has been as G.M I thought selecting a Game saving goalie wouldhave been a strong point.
