Question

If Bowman were still the coach, do you think he would put up with these guys laying down to teams they should beat easily?

Personally, I think he would make a statement by benching some big name star player, just to get everyone else's attention.

Would Babcock do that??? No way. He likes to let his professional people play like they know what they are doing.

It could very well be, that maybe the real problem with the Wings is Babcock.

Why the heck is he not yelling at these guys?

I'm beginning to think that as good a team as Detroit has been for the last 4 years or so, ANY coach would have been a winner. I'm also beginning to think that Babcock is not a motivational coach. Sure these players are all supposed to be professionals, BUT you still have to motivate them to go out and bust a gut, night in and night out. Babcock is not doing that..... or if he is, he is not doing a good enough job of it.

Fire Babcock.... it will never happen. So what's the answer? Start watching other hockey teams play exciting hockey!

the plus side

You gotta hand it to the Wings, they have a nack of making bad teams look good!

Our beloved Red Wings

THEY SUX !

" to denigrate them however, is well, ridiculous.""

Well, sorryyyyy. Let's all jump and cheer the fantastic job they are doing.

I root for them just as much as the next guy, but I sure won't stand for sub-par playing. I wonder what guys like Howe and Lindsay think, when they see this team.

They are being completely outplayed, and the worst part of it is, no one out there wearing the wheeled wing is looking to put a Saber on his *ss.

You love em all you want, I hope they get beat 10 - 1 tonight!

Detroit Red Wings = what a sorry excuse of a hockey team.

Completely out played, out hustled, and certainly out coached.

After watching the Chicago game when they were behind 5 - 0, their coach was chewing the *ss out. So what did the Hawk players do? They went out and picked fights. The went into the corners with elbows up high. They FOUGHT!

This Red Wing team does not have the coaching or the b*lls to do that.

Detroit Red Wings = what a sorry excuse of a hockey team.

Brad May

Since he started that fight in the first period, and then gave notice to the Hawks bench at the end of the first period, no one on the Wings team has been run at. What a difference it was to watch them play.

Their still a long way from being dominant, but at least it was a pleasure to watch Red Wing hockey again.

NHL 739

Were down here in Florida, and have Comcast. We are picking up the game on channel 739 .... the NHL channel.

Wow, when did we pick him up?

Right of the bat, he got into a fight, and at the end of the first period, he skated over to the hawks bench and gave them some lip. GREAT to see someone with some spine playing for the Wings again!

your tight milhouse

Why get excited. The Wings are gonna lose a lot of games with Osbad in net, but that's no reason to worry. H*ll, let em lose all the games, but their still our Red Wings, right???

Fri. 10/02/09 04:42 PM

good old osbad

Nothing has changed. Osbad is still a second tier goalie.

Bettman cheats Wings?

Hmmmm, I watched the whole game, and not once did i see Bettman on skates out there.

Come on guys, admit it, our Wings did not hustle enough to win this game.

The Refs didn't beat us....

Bettman wasn't on the ice....

Our team did not play good, it's that simple.

And i have to agree with the Babcock comments. His have "fun guys" comments, sure did a lot to fire our team up.

Hopefully, some of the younger players will be with the team at the start of the year. The reason i say that, is if they are playing, then that means we finally got rid of some of the dead wood that Babcock was putting out there.

The Wings had a great season, but they got beat by a hungrier team.

Congrats Penns.

CONGRATS PENNS

The hungrier and better team won!

Fri. 06/12/09 10:18 PM

Congrats Penns

You were the better team tonight.

And no, it wasn't the refs that gave you the game, it was our Wings unwillingness to hustle this game. Typical Detroit. They will wait till there is 5 minutes left in the game, and then they will stop their passing and start trying to score.

Guess what.... as usual, it will be too late.

Congrats Penns.

Me looking around for

Doom & Gloom ehy? LOL.

The Wings look great tonight, and they deserve the praise that they didn't deserve the last game.

Trust me, when they win, they are playing great. But when they stink up the place like the last game, then they deserve to be called out.

As for tonight, did anyone notice that over 70% of the time when our guy take it into the Penns end, were skating with the puck, INSTEAD of dumping it in, like we were doing the last game.

Now for THAT, they deserve plenty of praise!!!

Red Wings - Playoff Indifference

I guess this will have to be my last post for the night. It is obvious you don't understand what I have been saying tonight.

Go back through each and everyone of my posts, and you will NOT see anything about me saying that they are going to lose the cup.

What I have been saying right along, is that they played like SH*T TONIGHT..... you understand what I am saying now?

I'll say it again. They played like SH*T TONIGHT. Maybe on Saturday they will play better.

If they do, i will be there praising them. If they don't, then I will not be afraid to say it like it is.

Now do us both a favor, and take your brilliance somewheres else, cause you evidently can't comprehend what other people are saying.
