Datsyuk

To get him going they really need to take Betuzzi off his line. They just dont seem to be on the same page at times. Bertuzzi isn't finishing when Dats gets him the puck. When you play with Pavel Datsuyk, you have to always expect the puck even when you wouldnt expect it.

I don't think Dats is playing bad but look at who he's playing with. Homer will do what Hommer does so you have the great playmaker Dats dishing to a guy who can't finish.

Speaking about can't finish, we need to get Kris Draper outta the room, his hands of stone disease is spreading...to Helmer and Bertuzzi

No Fix, No Conspiracy, just a horrible call

I agree with that for the most part. The Detroit Red Wings are not the only team out of 30 to have a bad call go against them. I knew the minute I saw that call the tin-foil hat warers (conpiracy theorists) would be all over this one.

I hate to see any team get a call like that. I also watch a lot of hockey and the refs are terribly inconsistent from game to game and blow calls left and right.

I thought for sure after the blown call they'd be putting us on the PP left and right trying to make up for it...which seems to be the norm, why I was surprised to see Dallas go on the PP and get the 3rd and final (stake thru the heart) goal.

Last night

Since I was in Dallas I was blacked out on NHL Network and watch FSN-SW feed with the Stars broadcasting crew. When they first saw the replay they said May thought it was in and said it was in. Then when the refs were talking to Babcock they said whenever the refs are talking to the coach that means they're getting the short end of the stick. Then the announcement that it was no goal because of the wistle blew...they showed a replay with the audio and both of them said...its a goal, tie game and thatthe puck was in there a good 3 seconds. before the whistle blew. Then they said when the went back an reviewd that they'll see what the saw and reverse the call and call it a galo...they couldntbelieve the second announcement...made a couple comments with the intent to blow the whistle...like last century they intended to blow the whistle...they said the Wings got screwed :)

Aside from that call which probably cost us at least a point we really were not sharp enough last night. Our defense were terible..."fell asleep" at times. Speed kills and we were too slow and let the Stars be sprung free while napping.

We had some good chances however and Auld played better that Jimmy. Howard did play well enough to win and made some pretty good saves himself.

One thing I noticed is Wings players were leaving their feet way too much last night. It was apparant on goal that went in off Big E...if he stays on his feet he runs theguy on the corner without gettign a shot off. You do NOT leave you feet when you shourt handed..take youself outta the play.

Other than the no goal.....

The Wings were way too soft all around. Our D were soft, yes Nick too. Dallas played well but we didn't .

Dish Network Channel?

Austin fan... It's on FSN-SW down here in Dallas

Wed. 11/18/09 08:05 PM

Not too sharp

Stuart beat to the outside, big E can't leave hid feet on that one.

Too many turnovers so far. Tighten it up boys!

Leafs tonight?

I'm all for standing up for you teammates and fighting in hockey. But the game of hockey is a physical game. I hate seeing fights only because somone took a clean hit...its a contact sport fellas, hold your head up, if you take a hit pick yourselves up, take the number for payback later. Thats the way it should be done.

I do agree with letting players police themselves however. If somone is coming at your head, cross-check em in the teeth and they wont be coming for your head anymore. A player should have the right to defend himself ;) Look at all teh injuries and head shots....the ref's can't protect the players...the players have to protect themselves....

The shoulda, wuolda, and coulda team

I disagree but since you can care less... I wont care to elaborate any further....

Attica, you're hired to replace Kenny Holland lol...:)

Tue. 11/17/09 12:35 PM

Posters???

HAHAH Koslov...but I prefer Chelios and Meetch over Quincey anyway (j/k). KH made a brillant move there, we should bring Cheli back...lol

Tue. 11/17/09 11:47 AM

Posters???

I think there is not a whole lot to talk about when you have 4 days off :)

Plus, for me anyway, rehashing the same conversational topics (Raffalski sucks, Osgood sucks, Bertuzzi sucks, Kenny Holland sucks, we're too small etc) over and over gets boring ;)

Schedule

I really hate some of the scheduling so far this season. Another one of those 3 days off thing. Guess the league does not like playing hockey Sundays to Wednesdays :)
