Bertuzzi...

I still have faith in him. Dont expect him to score 50 goals but im sure he will get better.

Right now he takes bad decisions, passes when he should keep the puck, shoot when he should be passing, swing in a miss on a perfect pass across, will pass to Dats when hes got 3 players on top of him !

Bad decisions. But the intensity is there, his speed is decent and he is not a liability on defense.

Although it try him with Fil when he returns. It still doesnt fit with Dats because Dats likes to set up a sniper and Bert....does the same thing ! Never set himself up ready to get a shot away.

On a 5 on 3 Bert was there to the left hanging and hanging with the puck not knowing what to do, thats the sign of a player who has yet to master the team system, or we didnt tell him how !. On a situation like that and in a position where he was you dont wait and shoot as quick as you can.

Stats says we had 29 shots blocked, thats too many. How many time have you seen one of our pointman shooting right at the forward checking. Its amazing how hard it is to find a clear shooting lane.

The Wings are still looking for a goalie...and now probably a defenseman.

Its been a good hockey run for me, 3 games in a row and finally a win.

I thought Howard look again "decent". He was bad on the first goal, and not so fast on the second. Sometimes he shows good signs and sometimes you see why hes been in the minor for four full seasons.

So...i dont know but now that Price has established himself as the Habs number one they might be tempted to trade Halak.

One more hockey note; I wish we would be more creative when we are charging the opposite zone. It always the same play Cleary is along the board, pulled out and pass it back on the point. Nobody is willing to cut in front of the net.

I guess this is in the Wings book.

Back to Kroner now they say it could be a sprain knee, witch means 2 to 3 weeks out. I could take that.

Sat. 11/21/09 10:54 PM

just back home...

...Kroner its an MCL...

back later...i need a shower...

Fri. 11/20/09 11:30 PM

dissapointing of course...

..but we cant blame Osgood for this one right ? I mean McClemmenson made the key saves, made some saves look like routine when they werent. The intensity was there the crowd was there, but maybe we could have used Z and Dats together more often.

I mean when we cant score why not putting them together ?

The Dats Bert and Cleary worked hard but they werent a factor again..its time to find something else.

Osgood on the winning goal look like good old osgood, a goalie that cannot move decently, but still it was a good shot. Clemmenson would have probably made the save and we wouldnt be talking about it.

Now its up to Montreal. The Habs just beat the Caps right in there home barn, not going to be easy. Only one point to show so far in my little trip, so i dont need to tell you that the wings must come up strong tomorrow.\

Im sure they will.

In the battle of the two worst teams in the NHL...

Burke thought he could get instant results with kessel. Never cared for the future lets win now so that they all think im a genius.

Fri. 11/20/09 11:14 AM

Nick..

If you are behind the bench tonigh we wont be that far from you.

Ill find you even though ive never seen you. LOL

would be better for you to show up at HTC before the game but i know you wont.

too bad.

Fri. 11/20/09 11:12 AM

Nick..

Fletcher hired Wilson because this is what Burke wanted ! Even though Burke wasnt officially hired by the leafs at the time he was already calling the shots.

Burke and Wilson are best buddies. And i tend to believe the Leafs will eventually play better. This is probably the worat thing to do; making a lot of changes in your roster and hope that they gell instantly. Its not working like that, chemistry is eveything. Look at the Wings, they have done changes gradually so that the gelling goes easily.

Look at Montreal, too many changes not enough chemistry.

The dissalowed goal was terrible but what was even more terrible was the fact that the Wings put themselve in that situation by not showing up wednesday hight. IF we play hard for 60 minutes we would have laugh at that dissalowed goal. The score would have been 5-3 for us insteas of 6-3.

Thu. 11/19/09 08:52 PM

Lets hope...

Dick i will go that low and chant with you if he can bring a win in D.

I dont want to go home with 2 losses in my mind...no way !

...and that dissalowed goal....OUCH ! painfull

Thu. 11/19/09 04:10 PM

Not a good effort..

...overall there was not enough urgency not enough intensity.

Lets say that i was expecting more than that. The Stars were not suppose to come in and dictate the pace of the game, this is exactly what they did. The Wings were just following them. 10 minutes in i knew we were in trouble.

Im dissapointed at Dats who for the most part was invisible last night. He is a star and should play like one.

Howard look all right.

Im disappointed. i better see a better performance tomorrow or they will hear from me ! lol

Sitting at htc waiting

Hey Dick

What is it you were saying about attending a Wings practice ?

Have you heard of a way to get in ? ...even me ?

Tue. 11/17/09 04:19 PM

Red Wings' Chris Osgood returns to practice, but won't dress for Wednesday's game

Its confirmed; Gionta gone for a few weeks with fracture bone to his foot.

One less trouble for the Wings to take care !

At least i'll see Howard live twice in the next 3 games...

Come to think of it, i will see the next 3 Wings game live !

Who can match that ? lol

..."That my friends, is a very, very impressive team. I still think, when healthy, they are the team to beat in the NHL."
