shoot-out
As one that never did advocate the shoot-out I was able to figure out the "whys" of it.
I don't like: golf, swimming races, tennis etc. What I find they all have in common is they are not team sports. It is always an individual effort.
Hockey is a team sport, when you go to the shoot out all of a sudden it isn't a team sport.
IS THIS A HARD COCEPT TO FOLLOW?

Wings can forcheck as good as anyone, but when it comes to a play at that moment there is no Wing that will knock someone on their azz! At that point the forecheck and play is over, for all the opposition has to do now is clear the zone.
They are not the Wings from the past when "tape to tape" passing could be done blindfolded.
Even as much as the Wings out shot the Panthers, you can count on one hand the number of times the Wings crashed the net.
