The thing with Bert is he doesn't use his size enough. He's not aggressive. He can't handle the puck, he's slow & his passing is not up to Wings standards. I think he's still being rated on his stats of many years ago. He was minus even in his glory years. The Wings are so desperate for size I think that's why he was signed. He's done almost nothing for 5 years now. He was a plus 7 when you total those 5 years in Vancouver. Trouble for the Wings now is they will stick with him for the season and that will hurt. IMO

IMO it should be Bert that's waived. So far he has shown nothing. He's slow, can't pass or handle the puck and Meetch can check better than him. Show him the door.

I watched the Calgary game in fast forward because it was not in Hi Def. Just watched the scoring part of it. I find it hard to believe they can't broadcast all games in HiDef. Why would they not??
We are so spoiled now.
There are only a few games (9 I think) on versus so I can deal with staying with DTV with the discount they gave me.

SOG don't mean much. How many times have the Wings pummeled the opposing goalie? Out shot the other team by 50% or more and lost. Most of those shots are straight up where I could even stop the shots and I can't even block my wife's shots when she slaps me(Just kidding about that part). They need to get the goalie going east and west and crash the net more. Of course we all know that but it needs to get done. The team is out of sync and passing is not the Wings of past. Passing was there game. It's not there right now. IMO if in another 10 games things haven't improved we could see a shake up behind the bench. I know I'm gonna catch hell from some of you but that's what I think.

Like all X wings he'll probably have the game of his life. Who's going to stop him, Drapes, Eaves, Maltby? I never liked the guy myself but it seems like when they leave they play their best against us. Hope it doesn't happen though.
I agree that McCrimmon leaves something to be desired but it's not all his fault.
