GLa is a goon , & will always be a goon, now we'll see what gary does about it. I won't hold my breath though, the so called commish & his cronies r a JOKE! The nhl could do ALOT better in promoting this league than these losers. Just sayin'........... Go Wings!!!
What's a MCL?
Does that mean he might be okay in a few days or what? I'm not being racist here but Laroque never seemed to be anything more than a goon hockey player every time I've seen him play. And though I didn't see it, it sounds like it's no surprise he took out Kronwall on purpose.

Referees
The refs. blew another call in tonights game, by not calling
a major penalty on Larouque.
That knee on knee on Kronwell, was intentional, and deserved a
major,game suspension and further suspension by Campbell.
The nhl refereeing sucks, and so do the supervisors that
audit the refs., to insure there doing their jobs.
On another note
I believe that Bertuzzi should be waived,The Wings should bring up a player from Grand Rapdids that can pass, and take a pass,which Bertuzzi cannot.
He is constanly turning pucks over by his poor passing and recieving "skills.
This disrupts any flow the Wings offence has.
Get rid of this Turkey!

You may be right about Bert,but our lineup is what it is, & I'd rather have him than some other stiffs in this leauge. These guys r gonna be tested for sure, but unfortunatly we can't control the injuries. I'd love to sign Lucic, Nash or someone else, but it's not going to happen. Glad to see the boys pull one out tonight, not going to be an easy season for the Wings. Hope Krons injury is not as bad as it sounds on here, son of a buck, need a break from the hockey gods. Go Wings!
Kronwall
Kronwall was perhaps the best defenceman to this point and now possibly lost for the rest of the regular season... especially if it is an ACL tear.
On the other side of the coin if he is in fact out for the REST of the REGULAR season, the Wings would be able to go and get a player for about $2,250,000.00... but he must be out through the rest of the entire regular season.
Power play
The wings need to open up some room on the power play and you do that my having your defenseman stay near the blue line and be wide apart. Tonight Lidstrom and Rafalski were really close in and close together. The result, there is NO shooting room.
Come on Babcock, Wake UP, get these players to position themselves correctly on the PP. Oh, I'm sorry, you probably don't know what the correct positions are. Oh, well.
Points are tuff to come by
Losing Kronner is not good....too many good players on the injured list, but keep the faith guys, it's a long season. Hope the report on his injury is good news, but it looked bad as he was being helped off the ice. Also, this Howard kid looks pretty solid to me. He's no Brodeur, but (so far) he's alot better than most of us thought he was. It bugs me to give up a 2 goal lead in the 3rd period again, but the 2 points are always welcome.

Helm and Abdelkader? Put him with some speed, maybe they can get something done. His current linemates aren't the fastest.
Freakin' Nail Biter...
I have to admit Bert seemed less interested tonight. Take him off the top line for sure. I agree on Howard doing a pretty god job. Wings D seemed to step up too.
Doesn't this kind of knee on knee injury usually draw a suspension? Cross check so hard you break your stick on your opponents back...and then keep hitting him with it.
shoot-out
As one that never did advocate the shoot-out I was able to figure out the "whys" of it.
I don't like: golf, swimming races, tennis etc. What I find they all have in common is they are not team sports. It is always an individual effort.
Hockey is a team sport, when you go to the shoot out all of a sudden it isn't a team sport.

Have you seen evidence that Bert is even slightly interested in getting his old game back? I certainly haven't. The guy is useless. Period.
TRAP
Babcock has to solve the trap. The teams are doing to try to play the trap and frustrate the Wings. WELL TAKE THE 2. GO WINGS

Rip this guy all u want, we have alot of other studs not gettin' the job done on offense. Stinkin' shame for us & Krons, these injuries r killin' us. Congrats Jimmy, we needed 2 pts., way to gut it out Wings! If Bert ever gets his full game back, lookout. We've seemed to tighten it up on D, now we need some more guys to step up on O. Gonna' see some kids play, like it or not. LGRW's!!!!!
