Mariners
Morrow, in spite of his wild live arm which the Tigers seem to crave these days, is an injury prone high draft choice who has never lived up to his draft position. Isn't he kinda "light" by himself for an all star caliber player like Granderson?
DDummy's false dilemma...
T-Dog:
Can't say I can disagree with one word you wrote at 2:26 PM eastern time today. Well stated my friend.
Just a Day Away From My Man Jeter Gettin' His 1st MVP In His HOF Career
Knockers:
Have yourself a good Sunday my man.
Got myself a new whip. 2010 Ford SHO. Pretty smooth ride. Think I will take a spin in a few minutes.
AFL
I have seen Scott Sizemore up close and personal in Lakeland. Got nothing against the kid. Heck, I hope he turns into Rogers Hornsby in his tenure with the Detroit Tigers. Seems like a good enough young player. However, I have seen him kick ground balls all over the infield. My eyes were not lying to me.
I have also seen Polanco up close and personal for the past five years. A total and complete major league player. I have seen him take batting practice and hit 20 or more consecutive line drives, calling his field on each one. I have seen him go a whole big league season with no errors. None. He should take more walks and be more selective at the plate, but that is his only drawback. He is still a very productive player, and I am sure that will continue in the 2010 season.
To cast off Polly like yesterday's garbage after everything he has done for the team is a total travesty.
arbitration
I agree with TigerDog...
It makes no sense not to offer arby to Polly, and if it is not offered, it borders on negligence on the part of DD. It would be the pinhead error that breaks the camel's back.
Why Not Offer Arbitration to Washburn?
I could see Washburn having a bounceback 2010 after having a bad second half in 2009. At worst, get the draft choice.
Polanco
Sounding more like the team is not going to attempt to sign Polanco.
Another pinhead DD move. The straw that broke the camel's back. Terrible personel and financial management....the worst.
Audy Ciriaco
Adding this guy to the 40 suggests to me that TGAE might be gone.
Polanco
Resigning Polly for the 2010 is a sign to me that the Detroit Tigers would not be raising the white flag of surrender on the season. If DD lets him walk, my membership on the bash DD bandwagon would be complete.
Resign Polanco today. Pull the trigger.
Differing Opinions - Depends on Perspective I Guess
Since his old team the Phillies are prepared to hand Polanco the third base job, how about the Tigers move in Sizemore until he bombs out at second, resign him and move Polly to third, and then move Inge to either SS or centerfield?
D-Train Traded
At this point, Willis for a rosin bag sounds pretty good.

I would make that trade....; )
Jackson traded?
Hey Left Coast:
Do you ever discuss baseball, or do you only come here to disrupt things or call people names?
I gotta idea....let's talk baseball.
Jackson traded?
Just for the record, I have never called anyone here "pathetic."
Never have....and never will. I leave that kind of nonsense to others.
Jackson traded?
Maybe your new moniker will provide some insight for you....but I am not holding my breath.
I am hopeful, but always prepare for reality. A skunk is still is skunk, no matter how much Right Guard is used.
