As you all know, I would be sending Rich packing if I were the AD. But I will say this. If I was going to give Rich one more year, I would just go all in and give him two more. I mean next year is not going to be any different I believe. If you are going to throw one more year away, you might as well stick with him one more after that. The question in my opinion is not if he should be given another year, the question is, is he showing competence as a coach. By that I mean, even with a bad team, does the team at least show some improvement from week to week. A competent coach (teacher) will be able to find some things wrong and correct a few of the things. There will be some improvement during the season if he is competent. Sorry, but I am not seeing it. Just not seeing it. I know some of you UM fans don't want to go back to square one. But your program might be farther away from square one if you keep an incompetent coach for another one or two more years, further digging a hole.

My son just said, the vast majority of Pryors completions are very safe plays. Very true. His passing stats are misleading I believe. If it's third and 10, who cares if the defense give you a short four yard pass play. We need to develop a passing game so people can't put 8 guys in the box.
Lions losing at home to 1-? Cleveland 24 to 3 at home in the first quarter. I can't even say LOL. Cleveland normally has 120 yards passing in a game and they already surpassed that in the first qtr.

Ugh. I'm happy right now and to answer this question, I have to think on a topic that will get me angry. Obviously Pryor's passing skills are highly questionable. There is only so much coaching you can do there. But I credit most of Pryor's lack of development to Tressel's coaching philosophy, which can be summed up in one short sentence. Do not turn the ball over. Like I was saying to Lady Blue a few moments ago, an awesome defense and no turnovers is great for Big Ten Football, but taking it to the next level is uuuuugly. Pryor has alot of talent in those legs and we are getting almost zilch out of them. Again, I blame Tress for that. Saying all that, I still would not rule out an nc for OSU under Pryor's watch. I know the Texas coach Mac Brown still thinks Pryor will be able to lead us to the promise land. I think he is really starting to cut down on his mistakes. I think these next two years, he has a chance at being at least at good as Troy Smith was. Our defense is going to be sick next year. We aren't losing hardly anyone. Our running backs are young and should be good next year. We just need to get our passing game going and give Pryor some running plays.

Are you kidding me? This is a bowl game. We don't have a chance. Seriously, I'm more worried about our offense more than our defense. They will score some points on us but can we match it? I have my doubts. I'm not impressed with our offense. Understatement of the year.

Actually, I kind of thought it was a very beautiful sight! I've never seen that stadium look so pretty. I guess its all a matter of perspective. LOL

I was in church about an hour ago, laughing thinking about you. The pastor was talking about the first thanksgiving and how the natives had to teach them how to survive, living near Boston. He went on to say we are still trying to figure out how to do that even to this day.

When they were showing the stadium from a distance, you could see the red hue. At first, I actually told my son maybe it was our television. I was shocked and was thinking it could not be what it appears to be. That's why I was blaming my tv.

I was exaggerating when I said Spartans could beat Cincy. I wanted to vocalize my disdain for Cincy. They do not have anything to be embarrassed about. They have done a great job. It just riles me cause I know we could beat them.

I agree the system is ranking Cincy. And the system is broken. I think they are fakes. That is why you view my disdain. You ask if OSU are frauds when it comes to the SEC. My answer to you would be yes. It has to be. We are like 0-10 against them. I would rather play Cincy in the Motor City Bowl and expose them then to go play Stanford or whoever in the Rose Bowl. I think if they are not going to have a playoff system, they need to tighten up the rules on who gets in the top 10. You shouldn't be considered if your schedule is so soft and played a bunch of nobodies. ...

Funny. I was just coming in to the forum to post a thought about who I want MSU to play in a bowl game and I found this thread. It won't happen but I wish they could play Cincy and expose those frauds.

As it stands, UM is leading the series 57-42. Crazy thing is I can remember about five years ago when Dick Mc was talking about UM having a 20 game lead or so. I remember thinking, well I guess I won't see them catch them in my lifetime. Hey maybe I will! Tress has another 15 years left in him. Maybe he can cut it to four or so. Then we have a shot!
