GREAT W by the Sparties last night! Breslin was ROCKING ... after some pretty quiet stretches, especially to start! With less than 10 mins left in the 1st half, we finally got our 10th point, nevermind the tacos for hitting 70, were we gonna hit 20 by the half?! FINALLY got over the hump late, and that was that! The #2 team in the country stays there, same with #1 Kansas late last night, quite a few close Ws for the Elites to start the year.
Ike, the Izzone was chanting "GA-RY COLE-MAN" when that short guy was at the line late ... and missed one! Good stuff Izzone!!
But for the love of Jud, those refs SUCKED!! Over-the-back gets called on Sparty with the quickness, but takes 3 tries before it gets called on the Zags. Surprised Izzo never got a T, he was sure staring daggers at the refs. But we struggled inside, think we might all year against good bigs. Speaking of bigs, uh, Delvon, 5 fouls, no points? C'mon. But I liked Sherman's hustle, not so much Nix's (and Green's) free throw misses. Yuck.

As much fun as it IS to watch UM fans bicker about who should/shouldn't pilot their sinking ship of a football program, howza bout we DO talk hoops?! MSU tonight! Gonzaga! Then UNC! Then Texas! Not to mention UM plays the likes of UConn, Kansas, c'mon football's in the tank!
And unlike the cheaters and liars in AA, we've got Sportsmen of the Year up here in EL! The whole nation's getting Greener!!

I was just checking, cuz I thought wins vs. Div-II schools didn't used to count toward bowl-eligibility, but it seems you're allowed 1 win over an FCS team to count, but if you schedule 2 FCS teams, you then need 7 wins.

Not sure we deserved to win that one on Sat but I'll take it. But our DLine was AWFUL! By my count, they got pressure on the QB all of 2 times. Once PU's QB escaped and ran for 8 yds, and then on the final play we finally got to him. I basically spent the whole 2nd half watching the DLine, and Elliot had ALL DAY back there, he only threw when he felt like it, never cuz he was pressured. What happened to our good DLine play from earlier this season? We rushed only 4 most of the time, but they got nothing.
All that said, I think Worthy is a stud, can't wait to see him and Ghoulston, Treadwell, and Neely teamed up next year.
Condolences to Blue. Rough season. I keep telling you to get ready for BBall season!! Speaking of which, Gonzaga tomorrow!! WOOHOO!

Lest ye forget, UM DID beat Wisconsin last year! 'Member that? So have faith oh ye' maizeful, the year's not quite over yet, though, DID watch the bball preview on BTN last night, and UM DOES have a good hoops squad. I'm just sayin'.

NEPA, I gotta assume "at this point" means "all this century" Does OSU even consider UM a rival at this point? I mean, there were grumblings toward Tressel, and he's OWNED UM, but he's struggled losing BCS-type games. Lloyd got the grumblings when he couldn't beat OSU, but did alright vs. everyone else.

PC, agree with you on the winning curing everything. And it's that winning's that's given Coach D the leeway, he's earned it. No free pass. Just like 'we need our players' should never have been accepted from RRod. JohnFreezingL won right away, but mighty UM can't? But I think RRod also was never given ANY support from certain sections of the fanbase. Much the way it'd be rude to NOT use the 'Picks' subject line to help johnnygreen, it'd be rude not to give RRod the benefit of the doubt (and a 10yr extension!). Bo's not walking through that door anytime soon.
