S.O.S.
Don't get me wrong; I still want State to compete during the rest of football season. At best, we are looking at a minor bowl. I'm a hoops guy first; always will be. I just try to make Ike sweat a little each week with his picks!
S.O.S.
NEPA, I'm with you on bball season, March can't get here quickly enough! I'd think our Wolverine brethren should start getting hyped as well. I'm going to the Gonzaga game in less than 2 weeks, can't wait to see them in the flesh. Little disappointing only being up 3 on NU at the half, but I think deep down Izzo LOVES to be able to go into the locker room at halftime and give em a piece of his mind!! Showed in the 2nd half, and especially with Raymar and Allen out, and I think Roe got hit on the head or something. That's a big key in these games that don't count (I see you Syracuse) -- just don't get hurt!
But I still wanna see how our FOOTBALL team responds in these last 3. They've already been through a lot without enough to show for it. No, no BCS bowl (or likely even a 3rd place BigTen finish), but some of these guys will only play 2 more games in Spartan Stadium, no quitting now!!
GO STATE!!!
S.O.S.
Although I would have liked to interrupt his comments!
S.O.S.
I am ready to accept that I did not interpret F.Y.'s comments properly. Water under the bridge; even he has said so. Let's move back to talking sports. Hoops is coming, and State will be strong. Football is basically a done deal for any fan of the schools that post here. Yeah, we might make a bowl but there won't be any special bowls heading our way.
S.O.S.
JG, did you know that Kellen Davis was from my alma mater?
S.O.S.
"..nice to see Kellen Davis getting PT with the Bears on Sunday!"
YES! That was a nice catch by Kellen and a TD scoring first in the game.
He no skinny boy. Solid!
Speaking of Barwiss, what happened with the choco milk thingy. Seemed to be not working last Sat.
S.O.S.
Isn't it past your bedtime Johnny?
S.O.S.
Isn't life great? 11 days and WE start OUR quest for the SIXTH! (count 'em) FINAL FOUR appearances.
WE OWN the S'Bears in football and basketball. Not so much in girls softball.
I'm lovin' it!
S.O.S.
"That CMU onside kick hits the grass a centimeter to the right and it probably doesn't get that awesome bounce, "
That msu onside kick goes 1/2 yard less and ND gets the ball.
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
S.O.S.
You are all class SOS. Attack me, and I have not even posted your way in how long? What year did I graduate UM? Sorry to say that I did not have a hundred grand sitting around for college. Instead, I joined the Army, fought in a war and earned my own money for college.
S.O.S.
Capn, it just sucks when you open this board and nearly half the posts are by the same person. Wouldn't mind one bit seeing Ol' Dirty Elmo switching from quantity to quality.
But I'm nowhere near any sort of panic mode. Clearly we're on much better footing for the long term than we have been in eons. That CMU onside kick hits the grass a centimeter to the right and it probably doesn't get that awesome bounce, Cousins eats that last INT instead of lettin' er rip, etc. Surprisingly close to 3-0 and we'd still have the same problems.
And Toolman, if one were so inclined, one could always congratulate UM on having as many wins as they had all of last year, or how Richie is now 6-9, or perhaps one might ask what year you graduated from UM. Don't worry, we'll always have ammo!!
GO STATE!!!
S.O.S.
Can you blame him Cap? How many posts by Sparties this offseason mentioned 3-9? You don't think that we forgot? How many times has RR been dogged by you guys? You think we forgot? How many times have we had to listen about how small Forcier is and how he will never make it? You think we forgot? What you guys have gotten in return is nothing compared to what you dished out last year. You want to hate UM fans so much that your imagination is running wild.
S.O.S.
Something tells me if the Victors started out 0-3 he would have probably stuck to 3-posts instead of multiplying the numbers of his own special brand of obnoxious, omniscience, and obstinance with a big dab of spin, into JC's wine and fish like totals. Pretty impressive, of course the back 40-probably looks like Fred Sanford's back yard but they are 3-0. LOL-MOE!!
S.O.S.
I like Hansborough as well. What scares me are the UNC studs that never panned out. He's got big heart. He may not be there at 15 or whatever. Buzz in Phoenix that the Sunnies like Mullens which makes him a moot point for the Pistons.
S.O.S.
I was thinking of the sights in Westwood and totally blew the spelling. My bad!!
Speaking of bad. The great Wayman Tisdale passes at 44 from Cancer. Tragic. Saw a TV blurb when he lost his leg a year or so ago. Seemed very positive and his spirits were lifted at the reviews of a CD he had just released. WT brought the funk on bass as well as in the paint. I think he has about 6 or 7 CD's out and if you've ever listened to a smooth jazz format he's been all over it for years. I know he was recording when he played for my beloved, pre-Shaq Sunnies. Rough week for the NBA losing Daly and now Tisdale. So young. So sad. R.I.P. WT.
