TC told me you replied to my e-mail. Didn't get it. However, he did relay your thoughts on Marketing. As you were my light footed friend!! It is going well on my end by the way, we have our foot in the door at one place already.

No redshirt on GREAT BIG Will Campbell this year. He has 3-years to show what a phenom he is. I'm skeptical.

I will email TC.

anakin - in fact, the ISO experience is really the underlying reason why the events that followed led to me starting my own business and not working for others. It's really an interesting commentary on organizational dynamics. Get my email from TC if you'd like to discuss further.

Any feel for what the latest RR fiasco will turn out to be? What's the perspective from your side of the aisle?

jg is correct in one sense, ISO cannot do anything in the event you are non-compliant, except remove certification. I think that is what he meant in his post and I mis-understood.

The NCAA can inflict far more severe damage as they are a regulating organization for how their member colleges operate.

That's cause we're both engineers. Been through the ISO registration gauntlet in my former life before deciding to start my own business.

You know I like you and most all the regulars. I don't mind criticism of Michigan as long as it's objective and fair. You are one of the posters who can be counted on to provide objectivity. May not always agree, but the important thing is that it is logical.

I was down 2 entering the day. Picked up 3 at least, but Ike will also. I needed some of the bonus points to move up. If my boys hold ice this evening, it will be a very good weekend.

The cruise in Alaska is great. I was on a barnstorming team playing softball in Fairbanks, Anchorage, Skagway, Juneno(sp), and Katchakan. The people in Alaska are very hospitable. Very kind and and are willing to help you out in any way.I just loved it.

gaylan - I haven't done that many cruises. My wife because of her career has done quite a few. Most, an overnight in port like yesterday to a 2-day like the one coming up. Since I'm self-employed, I can adjust my schedule somewhat to be available when the chance arises. Last night was my first experience with Carnival - okay, but not spectacular. Coming up will be my first with Royal Caribbean - no opinion at this time. Both of these are brand new ships, and ships do need a little time to develop a rhythm, if you will. Crews change regularly, also, as most crew members have 4-6 month contracts (my son works for a cruise line).

I've been on regular (no special circumstances) cruises on Princess and Norwegian. I'm partial to Norwegian. My wife and I did an Alaska cruise in May to celebrate our anniversary on Norwegian. Great ship, good shore excursions, great food, good entertainment, and their 'freestyle' cruising means no set dining schedule and much more relaxed settings. My wife says Holland America is very good also.

If you go, you will find there are lots of things to do on most ships. In Alaska, I spent a bunch of time hitting golf balls or shooting hoops while the wife and her friends went shopping in ports where there wasn't an interesting shore excursion. We did go whale watching in Juneau, took a ride on the Skagway railway, and wine tasting at Victoria, BC. Bon voyage!

Threading in forums

We are working on adding threading to the forums. Clicking on the headline of a post will now get you related posts in a few different ways.

- If the post was sent to us in response to an article, clicking on that post's headline will retrieve all comments on that article, and clicking on the "See related article" link will send you to the article itself.

- If the comment was submitted in response to a cybersurvey, clicking on the headline will take you to the cybersurvey and its related comments.

- If you click on the headline of a forum post that was simply posted in the forum, you will get all posts with that same headline.

If you want to add a comment to a thread in the forum, use the same headline as the post to which you want to respond.

If you find a problem, please tell us, and thanks in advance for your patience as we work to improve the forums for you.
