Check that mail in the AM. Well, God willing and the river don't rise, or a train doesn't derail, or an earthquake, or a flood, or ... locusts; Box Elder bugs more like.

Seriously!

CW-Only going by the gut on this one, but yes.

Is the current Yost the original? I trust your instincts here.

Ike-Well, Of course, I'm painting with a broad brush on that prior statement of mine. If the shoe fits........

It obviously doesn't fit you

"At least from this Spartan fan, the reaction of "you can have that offense, we're plenty happy with pro-style" the day RR was hired with the "future of football offense" was totally genuine."

Ike we agree totally on this point, I watched the spread with JLS, never thought it was anything more than a gimmick. I have watched NWRN run it, they can't stop anybody because their defense blows. It may help your offense look more productive, but without a quality D it won't help over the long haul.

"If it works, it's called the spread. If if doesn't it's called a gimmick. If UofM runs it, doens't matter it's a gimmick. If MSU runs it, it's JLS era."

Could it be possible that Spartan fans had 4 seasons to see first hand, game in game out, what the various versions of the spread looked like in the conference.

The topic is murky, as some will say "the spread" is anywhere from a team that takes a shotgun snap, to Florida's offense that my old man ran in the 50s.

At least from this Spartan fan, the reaction of "you can have that offense, we're plenty happy with pro-style" the day RR was hired with the "future of football offense" was totally genuine.

I put an asterisk by that USC game too. I don't count the last drive USC had on us. They kept hiking the ball when we weren't ready.

He won't be there, anakin. My uncle says the heat is back. This loss is going to crank it up even more. A 3-5 Big Ten record is not acceptable. Don't forget we still have a butt whipping ahead of us at the end of the year. By then Pryor will have worked out his problems and it will be lights out.

2 years away, under what coach? If RRod continues this type of display the rest of the season, Michigan alumni will be putting a lot of pressure on the AD to make a move.

Buckeye1-No sweat, my friend. You're one of the good ones.

My bad Fox. Man, I am really struggling lately. I can tell I just came off my busiest month of the year. I am battle weary. Maybe I should stay off the cycle for awhile. One of these days, if I totally drop off the scene and never come back in here, you will probably all realize what happened to the Buckster. Probably hit a deer going 110, and died with a smile on his face.

Yeah, B1: what Fox said! And, "I don't want a tickle, just wanna ride on my motor-sickle" (Guthrie, 1968).

Read again, B1. I SAID Minny was a better team thhan Purdoo

I would have to disagree with your assertion that Purdue is better than Minny. Minny beat them by 15 already this year. Don't put too much stock into last week's OSU game. OSU did not take them seriously all week going into that game. Tress tried to warn the players but inside, they were all like, yeah right. The players were joking and not being serious all week going into that game. I'd basically have the same prediction if OSU was playing Purdue again today. You are going to see a very focused OSU team today.

Threading in forums

We are working on adding threading to the forums. Clicking on the headline of a post will now get you related posts in a few different ways.

- If the post was sent to us in response to an article, clicking on that post's headline will retrieve all comments on that article, and clicking on the "See related article" link will send you to the article itself.

- If the comment was submitted in response to a cybersurvey, clicking on the headline will take you to the cybersurvey and its related comments.

- If you click on the headline of a forum post that was simply posted in the forum, you will get all posts with that same headline.

If you want to add a comment to a thread in the forum, use the same headline as the post to which you want to respond.

If you find a problem, please tell us, and thanks in advance for your patience as we work to improve the forums for you.
