Tough job for Detroit's academic czar

A personal publicist to the czar couldn't have penned a better PR piece for the czar.

$1.5 Billion Dollar Hearings

First of all, most people don't show up because they are working and rely on the news media to bring the story to them.

Second, but most important...witnesses don't show up because they don't have to. There should be indictments handed down after a grand jury investigation, betcha they'd show up then.

Third, the hearings have revealed that something very bad happened here and "real" supeonas (sp) are required; Is this the appropriate venue for this type of flagrant violation of public dollars!

Where is Kim Worthy and Mike Cox? She was there to nab the lunch room lady who stole $400 ... and yes the lunch lady should have been prosecuted but so should the $1.5 Billion crooks.

dps textbooks no easy task?

"The textbooks for the allied health program have been ordered and are scheduled to be delivered" today, said DPS spokeswoman Jennifer Mrozowski.

so the only thing the couple hundred of 'other' dps schools have to do is to get a mention-by-name in the media? Then they'll all have books? "Today"? That easy, huh?

Any candidate who supports the nonsensical rhetoric of Proposal S does not get my vote. Supporting Prop S reveals their gullibility, incapable of being entrusted to run anything.

DPS Bond Vote Tampering ?

Freep is doing some bazzaire stuff; pushing absentee ballots on the side of Prop S an article, not allowing or showing comments,...we must ask, why? It is pheononminal how much people in Detroit do not want this and now msm is trying to give the appearance that we do. I'm on the ground and I see and hear what the people do not want.

Vote Tampering will not be tolerated.

Proposal S...a Political Acid-Ball-of-Fire

Whew! I am so glad Detroiters are finally waking up to this non-sense 30+ year tax...Candidates are beginning to drop Proposal S like the acid-ball-of-fire that it is. They grabbed a hold of it at first until the people started to turn on them because of their support. It became a referendum on their political views.

The few politicians who continue support this ball and chain on the necks of its own people won't be able to run for dog catcher when all is said and done.

Proposal S is going down in flames....FAST!

That's Great...but it's still a NO on Proposal S!

Threading in forums

We are working on adding threading to the forums. Clicking on the headline of a post will now get you related posts in a few different ways.

- If the post was sent to us in response to an article, clicking on that post's headline will retrieve all comments on that article, and clicking on the "See related article" link will send you to the article itself.

- If the comment was submitted in response to a cybersurvey, clicking on the headline will take you to the cybersurvey and its related comments.

- If you click on the headline of a forum post that was simply posted in the forum, you will get all posts with that same headline.

If you want to add a comment to a thread in the forum, use the same headline as the post to which you want to respond.

If you find a problem, please tell us, and thanks in advance for your patience as we work to improve the forums for you.
