West coast trip

Fans--hang in there; even when the Pistons were atop the league--they struggled when they went West! This schedule is brutal but we should enjoy the grit and hustle with the current group!! (it certainly is more enjoyable than watching the team from the past two years that had so much talent but seldom gave the effort!!); I still say --if Joe can find a post up threat with a trade---we're in business ; it's a long season and we 're still growing as a team!!

we need a post scoring "BIG"

We are one player away from being s SERIOUS challenger in the East--a post scoring "BIG": Boozer, Gasol (from Memphis), etc would probably get the job done! Mr. Dumars is once again building a team for the next 7-10 years and needs a trade (similar to the Rasheed trade) to get us to the top of the mountain; never thought he could do it twice and so quickly; a very refreshing , hustling team to watch!! GOOO PISTONS!!!

prince out INDEFINITELY!!!!

Just saw a brief artilce on Yahoo sports that states Prince will be out for an indefinite time due to a ruptured disc in his lower back!! There goes our 'major" trade bait for a "big" who can actually score in the post! The "plus side" is this gives our two young ones a chance to get consistent minutes and we'll find out --for sure-- if they can play and make a difference in this league!!!

starting lineup for friday's game??

It will be interesting to see who Curry will put into the starting lineup on friday night!! He has to shut down Sheed and Prince and get young legs into the game! any thoughts??

boston/chicago game

Did everyone notice how many times players were diving onto the floor (floor burns galore!!) in last night's Boston/chicago game?/ Now--watch tonight's game with our beloved(???) pistons; There will not be any diving onto the floor by our bigs--for sure!! The difference in intensity will be striking!! It shows our guys don't really care about being there and their "run' is over!!

No doubt: defense wins in the playoffs; w/o it--you simply cannot win! However: the offensive side of the ball now demands a "slashing" attack; we didn't have it in 2005, 2006 ; we had it 'somewhat" in 2007 with stucky (but he was not as assertive as he can/is becoming because of his rookie status!!) NOW: we have it with both A.I. and Stucky being very, very capable of slashing to the basket thus opening up up clear shots for the others!! We all remember what Wade did to Dallas in the finals!! He either made the basket or got fouled or set up a teammate for a clear shot!! i like how this team is developing; we'll be ready come playoff time!!
