Attention Piston Fans
Do NOT get too low on our team after this game. This game has nothing to do with our 3 guard set. This game is all about matchups and we do not matchup well against them. This is 1 game, they play in the West, the only reason to worry about them is if we see them in the NBA finals. We match up better with the Magic and the Lakers. Erase this game from your memories because it really does not matter. Evaluate hustle, and that is it. Nothing else matters this game.

I agree with you, I estimate about 10 more wins than you with this same style, but that is only because I think BG can get unbelievably hot, we haven't seen nothing yet. Also, while reading your comments, I can assume you are not the original author of this thread, you seem like you know way too much to write something so silly. I would check myself, but I'm on my phone, takes too long. Lol

Bob-
You have a good argument, but I have not given up on him as a quality NBA player. I think under the right system, he could be a valuable asset to his ballclub. Picture JMAX on the Suns. He is currently in a system that does not expose his greatest qualities. He needs an up-tempo style, with a PG that can find him around the basket. He could have a decent career similar to Corliss Williamson, but far more athletic. I think it would be better for both the Pistons and JMax if he moved on with his career. Don't quote me on this, but I don't think Maxiel even has 1 dunk as season yet. Our offense is a flex style offense that is guard dominated. The guards will take shots if he is in position or not to get a rebound. No dunk tips, no opps, no nothing. He did not just all of a sudden lose all 40 inches of his vertical. I really got turned on to him after his block against Shannon Brown. It proved that he belongs in this league. ANYBODY who is that big, with his athletism, who cares as much as he proved he cares, will do well, given the right situation. With that being said, I agree with you that he needs to be off of our team. His contract isn't inviting to other teams, but hopefully he keeps showing his heart and a GM 'takes a chance' on him. He has also shown to have a better touch from outside, I also hope he keeps working on his J because you are right, he can't keep that vertical forever, he will have to be able to do other things well, again, I can see him as a Corliss type guy in the future.

"No I GUM I don't think I miss your point I just think Joey wouldn't feel pressure in the sense that he would have an issue with making a decision on Stuckey pulling the plug. When I say pressure I meant with him actually finding a PG period (draft, trade, FA) Good PG are just as hard as finding true centers.
BTW GUM that new Affalo fragrance come in a gift set and I think those Affalo 2010 are including inside a gym bag that comes with the gift set."
Shirly you don't think Joe would get rid of Stuck without his replacement, do you?
That sounds like a great gift item for the holidays! How long is the waiting list? Is Afolo made with his real sweat!?!
Nate Robinson
Anybody see Nate shoot in the wrong basket on purpose? lol When you are on a losing team, you don't have the luxury to 'joke around'. That was funny to me, but I don't blame D'Antoni for laying into him.
I would take TMac's bad back, worst case is he is hurt and we get to play our youngsters. He would be under contract the remainder of this year, then all of next, if he doesn't work, or is just hurt the whole time, Joe has some $$$ to spend.
***T-MAC 4 TAY LET'S MAKE IT HAPPEN***
I think we would HAVE to get off of both contracts in order to get Tmac's salary here. I didn't research it, but Tmac is getting paid. I do know his contract is up after the 09-10 season, but I'm pretty sure we won't have room contract wise on our roster unless Rip is part of a Tmac deal.

Nice article though. Was it Tommy Beer?

I said "Getting a player like Tmac will force Joe's hand to make a final decision on Stuck's ability to lead this team in the future. Does Joe want to deal with that pressure?"
Wise siad "I don't think Joey would have a problem with that since he already determined Stuckey's Combo Guard status, but it would put pressure on him to get a true PG"
Ummm, Wise? I said 'Stuck's ability to lead this team...meaning his ability to run PG, meaning it would put pressure on him to get a true PG. Not to knit pick, but I think you missed my point, then confirmed my point by what you said. lol
Jenna Jameson Screams,
He's playing FS?!? I'm gonna go pick up the Broncos D right now! Where can I pick up the movie? Also, I want the Afflalo 2010 Kobe stoppers, do they got those at Eastland?
T-MAC 4 TAY LET'S MAKE IT HAPPEN
That would be a good move to get T-mac. The Rockets are playing around with him right now. I would get off Rip AND Tay for Tmac. If that happened, we would get to see what Stuckey can do without a doubt as a floor leader. Right now, when he plays point, he will take some bad shots, but in his eyes, they could be better shots than if he passed to JJ. Getting a player like Tmac will force Joe's hand to make a final decision on Stuck's ability to lead this team in the future. Does Joe want to deal with that pressure?
Fly & Wise- You need to get off Afflalo's jock! I spent a week straight trying to see where you two were getting your information. Afflalo isn't going to returning kickoffs for the Broncos! Liars! lol

That is one thing about our sport that really stands out as an improvment that needs to be made at all levels. The problem with that, is Brandon Jennings gets 55 points and its all the kids read. They see the highlights of him hitting 3s and scoring points, so they think that's the best thing to do, score the ball. I read in this forum, that Stuckey took 21 shots to get 21 points the other day? I did not check the boxscore, but if that happened, that is absolutely nuts. I am going to check the boxscore because I don't believe that. I do remember him going to the freethrow line quite a bit, that would mean in real time, he would have taken AT LEAST 30 shot attemps. That is not even close to what you want out of your supposed PG UNLESS he is putting up 60 points, there is always an exception for everything.
This forum has more bad then good people
Murph "But if Joe manages to make a trade or two, and balances out the roster by bringing in a decemt big man, and if the Pistons can right the ship and squeak into the playoffs, then I'm sure my mood will improve, right along with the mood of the forum."
But that's the thing about this year Murph. You should not get too high or too low on our current Pistons. We knew coming into this year that this is what we were getting. If we were an old ballclub with tons of vets, with this same record, then there would good reason to complain about our product. We are a young team, learning on the go, competing every game, and getting better. There are 'things' that need to be fixed, but we don't need a complete makeover. I actually wouldn't be disappointed if we missed the playoffs this year. I expected us to be a 7-8-9 seed. If we are 9, then so be it. If we are a 9, it tells us more about our current roster more than anything. I personally THINK we will be a 4-5-6 seed, but I do not expect it. That is assuming Stuckey gets better. I think it is pretty obvious to all that he needs to get better to make our team go, if he can't do that this year, then I think he deserves an opportunity on another team, but I am willing to give him a full 82 games with a decent coach for him to develop.

How it is said "The team will lose far more than it wins, even if they get some good ball movement going, if they don't get better than average production from Wilcox, Jerebko, Summers, Daye, Maxielle"
Lol Did you ever think that they WILL get better production with better ball movement? As I sit here and type this message, I can not recall one time JMax got 1 of his alley oop dunks OR a put back dunk. When you do not pass the ball, and rotate the defense, they are in good position to stop those things from happening. Any player that has been labeled as 'making their teammates better' had been a guy that knows how to pass the rock. One thing that did stand out about your post, is that we really don't have any bigs on our roster that can consistantly put points up in the paint without a lot of help. CV is by far, our biggest offensive weapon from 15 feet in out of our big men. That still does not mean we should not rotate the ball, if anything, it means we pass the pass more often, quicker, to create more room for those players to make plays.
Trade thought~
Rick said "if they drafting young sg's, to biuld around a franchise that ain't won since garnett, which they got al jefferson for by the way, what make u think they would even consider taking 2 older players for a young stud like al jefferson. that will set them back even more years. long story short, if u were the gm of the wolves, would u make that trade. if u do, u will be in the unemployment line with the other 10% of us in the usa. fans knowing thats who u got for garnett. thats what the media and fans will look at, my friend."
Rick, my friend. Please tell me, or show me, exactly when I said I 'think they would even consider taking 2 older players for a young stud like al jefferson'. You missed my whole point. Slow down, and read what I wrote. I was talking about their irrational thinking by drafting two SG's with back to back picks. NO, I wouldn't trade Al Jefferson for Rip and Tay, BUT I ALSO WOULD NOT HAVE DRAFTED TWO SHOOTING GUARDS WITH CONSECUTIVE FIRST ROUND LOTTERY PICKS EITHER. The Caps is to highlight my point that you keep missing. Do you NOW understand why I said it wouldn't hurt for Joe to call? GM's do silly things all the time, in fact, let's see who picks up Iverson this weekend.....case closed.
Trade thought~
Gm Rick-
I'm not sure if you saw my logic while speaking on this proposal, I said I don't think we have anything that the Twolves want, but I can't explain their 2 back-to-back draft picks of 2 SG's so maybe they would take Rip. I don't think it would be dumb if Joe made a phone call. Can you explain why they selected Ricky Rubio then Johnny Flynn with the very next overall pick? If not, then maybe you will understand why it wouldn't be a bad move to pick up the phone. If you do understand those picks, PLEASE explain, I would love to hear......
