Lesson learned from todays loss
After the final score was posted and the Pistons finished this game with a loss. There is no doubt to me that some sore spots came to the fore-front. These Pistons here have little consistency when it comes to playing and winning back to back games, a mark of inexperience. Next BG (Ben Gordon) is and should come off the bench to add an extra punch, similar to VJ (Vinnie Johnson) the microwave. And yet, I keep and will continue to point this major flaw out until it is corrected. No one has stepped up and assumed the leadership roll and the true Captain of this team. Yesterday I dug Bynums ferocity and will power as they defeated the Magic. But today no one stepped up and grabbed the reigns of this team and willed them to victory. One thing that I noticed for sure is that Stuckey as of this point, is not the man. Sorry, I still haven't seen or felt the Captain yet, because when he steps up and takes charge this team here will be well on its way. On that note I'll say... Go Pistons Go and... Peace out
Lesson learned from todays loss
1. - Their defense disappeared in the 2nd half...especially the 3rd quarter.
2. - Total assists for the game: Oklahoma = 23, Detroit = 12. Isn't that the primary role of a point guard?
3. - Let's see. Stuckey scored 21 points in 36:38 minutes but had 5 fouls, 3 turnovers and only 2 assists.
4. - It's pretty sad when your SG (Gordon) and C (Wallace) led the team in assists with 4 & 3 respectively.
Lesson learned from todays loss
For these Pistons to be sucessfull and since they don't have a bonifide superstar a three man 20 points or better unit is needed. That third scorer was so sorely misssed and the role players didn't step up in tonights game. End-result their first loss of this new season. Now that this game is in the record books, hopefully the Pistons won't repeat these errors and move on to bigger and better things. Yet still todays game was a ripe for the pickings type of game for the true Pistons Captain to step up, take the reigns of this team and guide them to victory. Sorry, I still haven't seen that in this team here. But it will happen, it must otherwise this team will fade away and dissapear. On that note I'll say... Go Pistons Go and... Peace out
