Grey-

Have you seen J Maxiell's contract? He pretty much HAS to be dressed no matter what if we are going to get ANY value from his contract. He actually didn't play bad last night, but to bring Summers up would mean Max is in a suit. I would shop JMax for a future conditional 1st rounder, hopefully Joe D is doing so right now.

Why is no one talking about the 'best' rookie on the team not getting any playing time. D. Summers was by far the best of the 3 rookies playing this summer. Jonas is starting and doing a nice job. Austin is doing a nice job in limited playing time and Summers stays on the bench. Kuester needs another big man Summer is a big man.....Is he hurt?

Mucinex and Robitussin have taken the fight out of me

Thanks for the pointers on coach Q. My problem is, my creativity is fed by hatred and anger, and I'm just not feeling it with this coach. Of course, it took until about game 20 of last year before I turned on banjo. I actually thought he was the right choice, and would hold people accountable! LOL!!!

lol I know Fly, you KNOW I'm not feeling any Afflalo debate AGAIN! It's almost been 2 years straight! Besides, this is me and Uncle Ty's battle anyway, you are just an innocent bystander. Ty brought up Alvin Robertson already, that has been shot down a while ago, not even close. Afflalo isn't dirty enough to be like James Posey either.

Anyway, a few ideas for Q-ster. I think he looks like Ex-president Bush, he also resembles Professor Plum from the game CLUE.

GUM- Afflalo is not a PG. Don't think Smush Parker. Think Alvin Robertson. Or at least Bruce Bowen, with a little less defense and a little more offense. I knew that little one-liner in that post would draw your attention!

Sorry, but I'm just not up for a debate today. The fever, Mucinex and Robitussin have taken the fight out of me. Just pokin at ya. Let's save it for another day. Or even in 7 or 8 more years, when AA is winding his career down as a valuable sub on a contender, ala James Posey.

Lol

Yes Fly, Afflalo did play well last night. In fact, he out-played Ben Gorden. I guess that means everything...whatever happened to Smush Parker anyway? I remember when he was the starting PG on the Lakers for all 82 games, and I remember when he had like 30 point and 9 assists in an NBA game, 2 years later, guys like Ty Lawson are in the league, now it looks like his services aren't really needed anymore. I hope Afflalo can keep getting 2 assists playing with one of the best scorers in the entire leauge, I don't know how they would ever replace that.....

Fly I call him K-Mart because he comes cheap...not really a jab at him but from Norstrom's he is definitely not. I'm not all that happy with the Small Ball stuff and wish they hurry up and move both Tay and Rip. I still can't imagine what Big they could come up with that will help us long term by moving them. What I do know is we don't need a PF so getting Boozer is pointless unless we do plan to move CV to the SF spot, but that really don't address the need for a Center. I'm still not that happy with Big Ben getting all those minutes, but I would be more incline to move Kwame into the starting spot if I was looking at Boozer and CV in the front court with him.

Getting a big would definitely kill the 3 guard rotation in part Rip will be gone so we won't be press to do it to pacify egos. But something tells me it will be Tay and JMax that are moved and will still have Rip.

I've been trying to come up with a derogatory nick-name for this guy since he was named our coach, and haven't come up with anything print-worthy. Maybe it's just not meant to be. Maybe he's a good coach?

Kwame Brown is the only player in the NBA who can get fouled in the act of shooting, 3 feet from the basket, and the OTHER TEAM gains 1 point out of the deal.

Charlie V. was awesome in the 4th, good sign.

Rip and Tay are goners.

Afflalo had 18 points last night, and led the Nuggetts in assists (OK, it was only 2, but still). Freakin' scrub.

"The Detroit Pistons have agreed to terms with Cavaliers assistant coach John Kuester to be their new head coach, a source with knowledge of the negotiations told SI.com.

Another league source said the contract was for two seasons with a team option for a third year.

The Pistons zeroed in on Kuester on Monday after contract negotiations with ESPN analyst and former Dallas Mavericks coach Avery Johnson broke down over the weekend. Kuester, a former Pistons assistant coach under Larry Brown from 2004-06 and an NBA assistant coach since 1990, is considered to be one of the most qualified lieutenants in the NBA, having been an assistant for six NBA teams and having worked under top coaches such as Brown and Cleveland's Mike Brown. Kuester is a former head coach at Boston University and George Washington.

A formal announcement will come later this week."

He's never going to live down that 1-27 at George Washington U. in the lockerroom. Shame we won't be get to hear Sheed's mixed take on a former Tar Heel with such an abysmal record. btw, does Sheed twitter?

Kuester's a likely patsy, but he could make some good things happen in the next year or two. It's heartening to me that he's known as an offensive whiz and that at the same time he was North Carolina's defensive player of the year way back when.

ESPN's Marc Stein is reporting the Pistons will hire Cavs assistant John Kuester as their head coach.
