GUM to Funk&Stank...This may be my last post to you because you really aren't too smart. If you read what I said I talked about the reports that Utah offered Boozer for Tay. Since Joe did not take that trade, but was in talks with Utah about Boozer. WHO DO YOU THINK HE WAS TRYING TO GET OFF OUR ROSTER? We know it wasn't Tay. Sheed and Dyess were already gone, we are building around Stuckey, figure it out....dummy.

I don't know GUM maybe the trade got nitched because Joey didn't want to give up JMax and Kwame. You know it's hard to be logical when your a cheerleader..Right Funky

Then on top of that let's be real, who does our PG have on the team to ast to? J.Nelson had 8 ast, a game high. He has D.Howard who had 22 pts and 12 rebounds.

who does Detroit have? Who, Jason Mad Max? Charlie V gets his own, Bynum gets his own, Stuckey gets his own, Gordon has the skills to get his own and hit the jumpshot but he has the ball in his hands playing the pick and roll/pop.

I swear Phillipboy you got an excuse for everything. That's the point they've all been about getting their own haven't they? I would be receptive to this notion as well had we actually seen them try getting the ball into the post or better yet kicking it back out to the open guy once in a well. These is a bunch of crock considering we haven't had a post game since forever and our assist totlas have always been in the 20's and TO's below 10. I could probably count the times on one hand that post has been feed if I had 6 fingers (No Offense IP I know research has played an ugly trick on you). Phillip I'm all for this team growing and having it trails as long as it done smartly. I would much rather see Ben, Kwame, JMax, CV and the Rookis be feed the ball oppose to the free for all of them getting their own.

Fool, you're putting words in Joe Dumars' mouth. Show me exactly when Joe D ever said we need to trade rip for a big.

LOLOLOLOL FUNKY!!!! I WILL POST MY ENTIRE POST, WAY TO GO BACK TO SEPTEMBER AND YOU STILL ARE WRONG, IDIOT;

"I think Joe did a little better than 'not nearly what we were all looking for'. I think being only 1 big away is near what I hoped for, but was able to get an unexpected big in Ben W. After the two signings of Ben G and Charlie V, there were numerous reports of trade talks with Utah and Boozer. There was also one source (that claimed to be reliable), that Utah would have pulled the trigger if Tay was part of the deal.

That right there showed me that Joe and most of us are on the same page because he does realize Rip is a guy that needs to go for a decent big.

Since we don't know about most of the outrageous proposals, it's not fair to say Joe diddn't do a good job. I think he took all the right and reasonable offers available to him. I think he wants to get off of Rip's and his contract as bad as I personally want him to, but I also think it may not be as easy as it seems. Since other GM's are able to see our potential roster, Rip's value has dropped, let alone he plays 2-guard where everybody seems to have potential if they aren't already 'superstars'. I am sure Joe will jump all over a good opportunity to get a talented big if Rip is involved in the proposal.

GetuMad32, Madison Heights, MI"

Way to TRY to take my post out of context.

About what you consider 'dumb', how is it dumb? You can disagree all you want, explain how it is dumb....that's funny that you tried to post what I said way off context. If you are saying Rip won't be traded, that doesn't mean you think it's the right thing to do or why, if I wanted a psychic, I'd ask Sylvia Browne, comprende?

GUM:

Since we are 2, 3, 4 years away from being a serious championship contending team, what good is it having this really good player (not great), this really good player on our roster when he won't be around when we become contenders

That's just a dumb thing to say. (I disagree)

Rip is a guy that needs to go for a decent big.

No, you didn't say "all-star center" what's worse is you'd trade Rip for Erick Dampier?

I'm sayin, Rip's not being traded. Comprende?

I disagree Phil. Our lack of assist totals (I think we are last at 14 per game), is a direct result from not having a PG. Put CP3 on our team and just picture how many easy baskets BG will get, picture how many oops Big Ben will get, picture how many back-door cuts Jonas would have, picture CV destroying teams from getting the ball wide open at the foul line extended, picture Daye, wide open in the corner for a what looks to be easy 3-point shot for him. A PG on our team MAKES other players better. You have to get lucky to get Howard, or Duncan, those don't come around all the time. Stuck just needs to learn how to use the weapons he alredy has better, within the offense, and we will be a better team.

Every big game Stuckey playes big. PG, SG, SF,or what ever.. who cares right now!

PG is not a problem for the Pistons at all.

Center, PF, Center, Center and Center should be the focus.

Someone call me when we get a D.Howard, Karl Malone, or a Tim Duncan on the Pistons and our PG's AST total is still low.

Funky said "You might want to keep that under your hat, since you seem to think that we can trade him for an all-star center.

Dog, Rip was just in the paper talking about having his number raised in the Palace. He can say that because his contract pretty much ensures he'll retire a Piston"

Please show me and/or repost EXACTLY when I said we can trade him for an all-star center, please and thank you.

After you try to do that, could you please explain to me your point about Rip's number being raised in the Palace and your point in talking about his contract? What are you trying to say, dog?
