The Result Of Republican Thinking

According to AP Story, today:

"Americans have more than triple the debt they had in 1982, and less than half the savings. They spend 10 weeks longer off the job. And a bigger share of them have no health insurance, leaving them one medical emergency away from financial ruin."

BOTTOM LINE: REAGANOMICS IS GOOD FOR BIG BUSINESS, BAD FOR THE AVERAGE AMERICAN.

Trickle down? What trickle down?

Yanks Purchase Another Title

Why, oh, why does anyone pay attention to a sport in which some teams spend more than 100 million dollars on players than another team, and then wins the championship?

I mean, really. If anything, the media should be burning the Yanks for not winning every single year. Or even the Red Sox for not even making the playoffs.

Spend money, get better players; get better players, win.

What a dull sport. This is a sport among capitalists, like Wall Street. Would we as parents tolerate letting the 6th graders play the 4th graders year after year? But people still spend hard-earned cash on watching the obvious play out, year after year. Has anyone even heard of the Kansas City Royals?

Obama Rocks

The media panders to whatever sells. When Bush was selling the War in Iraq as a response to the 9/11 al Qaeda attacks, did the media say, "Huh? But Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11!" No, the perpetuated that lie, and now 6 years later, thousands of Americans lives, hundreds of thousands of INNOCENT Iraqi lives, and nearly a Trillion dollars later, we're still fighting the wrong people. So, don't try double standard. The media doesn't care who, they only care about how much. Republicans AND Democrats AND Independents agree on that.

As for Allies, you are right about the EU leader not liking Obama's policies. But several nations who jumped off the Bush bandwagon have jumped on Obama's focus more on Afghanistan bandwagon.

War is not pro-life.

Obama Rocks

The differences between Bush supporters and Obama supporters are clear. We have seen, in less than 60 days, Obama gather support from our allies where Bush lost them. Obama will close Guantanamo Bay and end torture. Obama has made the following clear:

"ANKARA, Turkey â€" Barack Obama, making his first visit to a Muslim nation as president, declared Monday the United States 'is not and will never be at war with Islam.'"

Bush supporters cheered on war and violence. Obama supporters cheer on justice and peace. I would think the choice was obvious, but then Americans cheered on Bush for 6-7 years. Until it was evident his policies--"Bring it on," "You're either with us or against us"--resulted in divisiveness and failure.

Go Obama. Bring back America's place as the true beacon of freedom and decency.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: War is not pro-life.

Change and Hope My Foot!!

JOHN GEE, you might consider withholding your thoughts. You said:

"Under O-BUM-A we have reached even lower in most if not all areas of the markets."

John, President Obama has been in his position for 40 days. The recession began while President Bush was in his 7th year employing Republican economic strategies. Listen closely, friend:

No moderately informed adult would expect ANY new president to recover in 40 days. You have exposed yourself as either:

a. so biased you can't see the ignorance of your statements,

b. ignorant.

Republican power = Today's Economy

All the decades of Republicans complaining that Democrats want to tax and spend. What scenario would you rather have:

1. A manageable unemployment rate, stable stock markets, a balanced budget, reasonable national debt, and 1-3% higher taxes?

OR

2. Continued job losses, a stock market lower than before the Bush Administration, a national debt our great grandkids will be paying off, and lower taxes?

Lower taxes mean nothing if you don't have a job. Now, our educational system faces cuts, the wealthy have lost their confidence in stocks, and I'm pretty sure anyone with a job is feeling lucky just to have one. The beauty of being a democrat who voted for Obama is that it cannot get any worse, and even if it does, EVERYONE knows who created this mess:

REPUBLICANS and their focus on the wealthy. Let's start taking care of all Americans, in particular, the hard-working ones.
