Thank you piglet!

FYI

Yesterday, someone here termed me an "ignorant pig" for using the term "friendly fire." Well gang, it's all over the place now. Last night on NBC Nightly News, the retired colonel they often use as a military consultant, said from the scene at Ft. Hood, "to many dead and wounded and not enough bullets for Major Hasan to have caused all of them. I'm worried about freindly fire." Now it's also popping up all over this forum. Lets hope the Army doesn't try to cover this potential "friendly fire" like they did in the Pat Tillman case in Afghanistan. If it wasn't "friendly fire", fine, then the Doctor apparently new how to use his weaponry, very, very accurately. If it was "friendly fire," don't try to cover it up to avoid potential law suits.

God bless our Commander and Chief, Barack Hussein Obama and all American and U.N. troups fighting for our freedom around the world.

And again, as yesterday, a special citation today to civilian Ft. Hood police Sgt. Kimberly Munley, who despite being wounded herself, ended the carnage when she braught the traitor, Major Hasan, down with 4 shots into his body. From the drawings they had on Nightly News last night, she and the traitor were within 15 or 20 feet of each other, firing directly at each other, ala a "gunfight at the OK Corral. Kimberly Munley, a true American hero!

Ft. Hood

I may be an ignorant pig, pal, but I do listen to local radio. And this morning, an Army soldier who's from Michigan and who is here, back home on leave from Ft. Hood, called one of the local radio talk shows. He said he'd spoken to one of his Army brothers back at Ft. Hood and he was told there was a lot of friendly fire going on as personel ran for their guns when they heard the first shots. So not all of the 30+ wounded were wounded by Major Hasan. If you'll recall last night's news reports, several others were also arrested, non of them tied to Major Hasan.

My tribute today goes out to civilian police officer Kimberly Munley, one of the first civilian responders on the scene, who got into a shootout with Major Hasan, wounding him, while also suffering wounds herself for her efforts. She was praised today by the military at Ft. Hood, for her efforts at a morning press conferance. Lets hope she pulls thru, as she underwent surgery last night and is in "stable" condition today. Base commander Lt. General Robert Cone said Kimberly was wounded herself by Hasan, but managed to hit him 4 times with her shooting. He called it "an amazing and aggressive performance by this police officer."

Major Hasan is a disgrace to the uniform and I say is, because reports are today, he is still alive but on a ventilator. Initial reports from the scene last night on the national tv newscats, had him dead. He is not! I also agree with the statement from the Council On American-Islamic Relations which today condemned Major Hasan's actions as "cowardly."

Ft. Hood

Apparently, it's coming out today, that several of the others arrested at Ft. Hood, were not associated with the original perpitrator. There was a whole lot of "friendly fire" going on their yesterday, according to reports, as soldiers ran for their guns and just started shooting at anything that moved, including each other. Guess they just wanted to kill someone. How sad!!

?

Did Jews complain the unnumerable times Larry David has berated them on his show? Did Muslims? Did African Americans? Did Republicans? Did Democrats? He's like Don Rickles, an equal opportunity berator. Watch the show sometime. You might enjoy putting a little farce in your life.

Why just Sunday, he took his Dad (played by the great Shelly Berman) to the cemetary to visit his mothers grave. Larry then noted that his father had engraved on his mothers gravestone "Past Away" instead of "Passed Away" followed by the date of her death. His father told Larry, "Well, it would have been another 200 dollars a letter and I didn't want to spend the extra money. Past, passed, it's all the same thing. Everyone knows what it means!"

Now you don't think that this scene in the cemetary on Sunday's show had anything to do with a little farcical humor about those of the Jewish faith allegedly always being a little "tight with the dollar?" As every Larry David show is, it was an absolute hoot. Watch it sometime, you might enjoy it!!

Larry David

Larry's character in the series, is constantly getting into trouble by doing the wrong thing at the wrong time. He's absolutely terrible in social situations. That's the great, farcical humor of the show. During the shows 8 year run, Larry David has made fun of about every race and religion known to man, from Jews, to gentiles, to African Americans, to Muslims to Republicans to Democrats. He just takes snipes at everyone on earth with his farsical humor.

The show is terrific and has won multiple Emmys. I suggest those jumping on Larry David today, may want to start watching the show to see what it's all about, which is farce. Me thinks very few complaining here have ever watched it. 10pm, Sunday nights on HBO.

And remember what Catholicism did for Dan Brown. They trashed his book "The Da Vinci Code" when it first came out and it went on to sell a world record 80 million copies. They trashed Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ" for his strict, conservative view of Catholicism and it went on to become one of the biggest box office movie hits of all time. Keep it up and maybe they'll add even more millions into the pockets of the already very, very wealthy (from creating Seinfeld) Larry David.

I Watched That Episode & It Was A Hoot!

Come on folks, where's your sense of humor. I consider myself conservative and God fearing, but Larry David, who is Jewish, did not "take a whiz" of a picture of Jesus. I take Flomax and I can speak from personal experience that when you take a whiz in the toilet if your on Flomax or any one of the other enlarged prostate drugs, it splatters all over the place because the force of your "whiz stream" is so much greater than if you're not using Flomax.

In the episode, Larry told the homeowners before he went into the bathroom that he took one of the enlarged prostate drugs (like Flomax) and he really, really had to take a whiz. They gave him permission to use their bathroom, which had a picture of Jesus hanging on a wall to the right of the toilet, about 7 or 8 feet above floor level. The toilet was in front of the back wall. So Larry starts taking his whiz and it's splattering out of the toilet and all over the walls, including on the picture of Jesus, which actually could happen!!!!!.

Well, Larry leaves the bathroom, says goodbye to his hosts and leaves the house. A few minutes later, one of his hosts goes into the bathroom and sees this drop of "water" hanging like a tear under one of Jesus eyes in the picture, which was a good 6 or 8 feet from the toilet. They immediately think they've got a picture with Jesus crying and they get ready to display it as some kind of shrine.

Very humorous stuff. But to say that Larry David urinated on a picture of Jesus is way, way, way overboard on this issue. The whole point was to humorously show what men like Larry David and me with my Flomax, go thru when when have to "take a whiz." It splatters everywhere, absolutely everywhere, out of the toilet and beyond.

Henning' Article

Interesting stuff from Lynn, basically hinting between the lines, that the lack of a new contract extension for Leyland is finally, 2 1/2 months into the season, causing a problem in the clubhouse. No matter what you might think of Leyland's managerial ability, and he has been NL Manager of the Year twice and AL Manager of the Year once in his previous 17 seasons as a big league skipper and has braught 5 of his previous 17 teams to the playoffs, he is beloved by his players, who would run through a brick wall for the guy.

He is a players manager and always has been. If this issue has indeed started seeping into the lockeroom and if it has, as Henning insinuates, become a full blown issue among the players, then it's time for Ilitch and DD to nip it in the bud and not let it get out of hand. Either fish or cut bait. What's the hangup boys?

In Answer To Henning's Question

How much longer will JL stick with the kiddie corps, hopefully, the experiment is over. I smell the bushes in their futures!
