School Reform
make it easier for non-teachers with specialized skills to get into classrooms
This one line scares me. It is easy to see how this could be abused.
Honda Crosstour
I hope the title is right, because the picture shows one ugly car. Honda's are normally conservative, but this looks like a 70's station wagon. I hate the term crossover to describe a station wagon.
Paying people to buy a home
You can't pay someone to buy a home. It doesn't work. See the housing crisis. People have to have skin in the game or it is just like renting and there is no need to repair or upkeep the house. Just walk away. Most can look down their street and see the results. There was a reason for 20% down.
House Appraisals
Sounds to me like the whole process would work better and more efficiently if the federal government was not involved.
Free Housing
Watched a "This Old House" type of show on tv. They were building housing units for musicians. They called it the musicians village. Mostly subsidized by the taxpayers. I was wondering if the next episode was going to showcase the electical engineers village. No probably not. I guess musicians deserve mostly free housing and engineers pay for their own and subsidize musician housing. Now we are building subsidized housing for veterans. There is no such thing as free housing.
Deconstruction
Looking at those pictures I can't see how this is going to be worth the effort. I am all for recycling and reusing. Some old houses have valuable lighting, plumbing and woodwork. Lets face it we've all seen hundreds of houses that are just burned out shells. Let's put the effort into the easy low hanging fruit.
Benz SUV
Count me on the hate it side. Even if I had the money (which I don't).
Autoworld
If you ever need an example of why govenment should not get involved in these types of projects, Autoworld is it. Let government build roads and defend the nation. Let the private sector build theme parks.
Windmills
Yep, waiting for that windmill plant to be built. Keep hearing about how the windmill industry is going to replace the auto jobs. I don't see 100,000 people making windmills.
