Another wacko leaves

"Makes one wonder, who will be the next nut job to leave."

I would have to say that it would be whoever Glenn Beck decides to call out. To date:

Van Jones

Acorn Investigation

Anita Dunn

No wonder the WH doesn't like Fox News. They're bringing to light the administration's "Marxist agenda".

Abe - They all sicken me. I'm an equal opportunity criticizer. All those group you mentioned, "scared teenage girls" and "soccer moms" should take RESPONSIBILITY (I know, that's not a word you hear much these days) for their actions.

Rep. Stupak pushes abortion to center of health care debate

Golden Hornet writes: "The abortion debate has already been decided by the highest court in the land."

Not exactly, there is one higher. But I'm sure you don't subscribe to that "theory".

a uterus is a private matter

jlech - that's fine, but why should those who disagree with it have to have our tax money sent to Planned Parenthood and the like? I'm not working my butt off so that someone else can have an abortion paid for with my (our) taxes.

Abe2 - I've been called worse on this forum. Didn't see you saying anything then. Oh, but then again it wasn't calling out liberal feminists who think it's okay to kill babies. They make me sick!!!

Refractomete: 'Oh, ok. I see you have been designated as the decider of who is Christian and who isn't. Nice work, if you can find it.'

No, I'm not the one who's designated but I believe you will find it in the Bible - It's called the 10 Commandments, 'Thou Shall not Kill".....pretty self-explanatory, don't you think.

a uterus is a private matter

Refractometer: "Nice name calling. A Christian, no?

My wife is pro-choice and she is a Christian. Your remarks are offensive."

Yea, because name calling is so terrible compared to killing a human being. Get real?

a uterus is a private matter

Refractometer - Offensive? Too bad - oh by the way - shame on your wife. A Christian she is not!

To all you feminist pigs out there who are whining about Bart Stupak's amendment regarding abortion - maybe us "pro-lifers" don't want to pay for your irresponsible behavior by using our tax money to suck out the life of a baby. I don't care that it's your body. It's WRONG!

I congratulate Bart Stupak and his courage. He is truly a hero and someone who stands by his convictions to speak up for the voiceless.

Curb your fanaticism...

"See? You didn't even get my "write more better" dig at you"

Good save, Drew! Now go teach some poor unsuspecting kid how to write and "think for himself".

Drew writes: "But most people (including me) are not so shallow and uncompromising. I don't know where religious zealots like LifeMatters hang out, but in my circles, and in the shops and businesses I frequent during the Christmas season, "merry Christmases" have never faded away...and probably never will."

I don't know where you shop, but all I ever hear is Happy Holidays, and Christmas decorations and Christmas parties and trees are now "Winter Decor" and "Winter Celebrations".

Maybe you just don't get out that much.

B.A. wrote: "Any ounce of common sense tells us that laws and religions together are always a disaster. If we took religion out of the law and applied common sense to it, we'd have that much cleaner society that you are indicating you'd like to have."

Then you don't believe in our Constitution. Our founding fathers based it in the belief in God. The Constitution protects religion it doesn't eliminate it. I'll leave you with this quote from John Hancock, The first signer of the Declaration of Independence and then I'm signing off to go eat a big juicy steak!

"Resistance to tyranny becomes the Christian and social duty of each individual. ... Continue steadfast and, with a proper sense of your dependence on God, nobly defend those rights which heaven gave, and no man ought to take from us."

Curb your fanaticism...

Drew writes: "Get real and get a life. Until you do, just go away and spare yourself further embarrassment. (Oh, and if you'd like to learn how to write more better, sign up for the college writing class I teach."

write more better??? I wouldn't brag about the fact that you teach a college writing class. In fact it's a sad commentary on our times that someone with your progressive, liberal mind frame teaches impressionable young people.

You obviously feel defensive given your constant attacks on my intelligence. Isn't that what people do when they lack the confidence of their convictions - resort to insults and name calling?

You wrote: "I never said you shouldn't be Christians. What I said was what makes Christian's think they're the moral authority? They're far from innocent and nun-like... And as far as abortion, you still haven't answered my question as to why you feel the way you do when there's kids galore who are born aren't taken care of."

I'll answer your question but I'm sure you still will not "get it". Maybe, just maybe the fact that we've taken God out of everything, even simply saying Merry Christmas is not used anymore (although I make a point of saying it regardless), maybe if we brought God and morals back to this society, there wouldn't be so many unwanted pregnancies because the morals would be there to prevent rampant promiscuity in the first place. Therefore, you wouldn't have "kids galore" who aren't being taken care of. God equals morals equals responsibility for ones actions.

I'm sure you will give some off the wall response but that is my opinion.
