Eliza Howell Park

No Mr. GQ Fancy-Pants, you aren't entitled to property your Grandmother donated to the City. As I'm sure you're already aware; land covenants are written with good intentions but they are not legally enforceable. Nobody "owes you" that property under any circumstances. It seems to me it has reverted to a meadow or preserve and as such could and should be cleaned up by volunteers and the able-bodied who want to use it. Kids need grasses, flowers and dirt to run through.

Kilpatrick defends self, says he still loves Beatty

Of course he loves you, Christine! Just like his fatty yellow over-indulged heart loves all those other women he spoke of his love to while schtupping and lying to them behind your and Carlitta's back.

Panel: Start mammograms at 50

No, actually this idea has been kicked around for at least the past 5 yrs. In spite of the lobbying efforts from mammogram manufacturers and Radiologists in the U.S. who make exorbitant profits from unnecessary mammogram screenings to keep this information from the public, it has long been known that pre-menopausal routine screenings aren't all that accurate due to breast tissue density and lead to many false-positives that progress to unwarranted negative biopsies as well as false-negatives that miss tumors. There's also the danger of accumulative radiation exposure possibly contributing to breast cancer if you begin screening earlier than necessary. Breast self examination and Physician exams aren't all that diagnostic or useful in detecting early cancerous tumors. Women need to know that lumps aren't the only symptom of cancer, especially when dealing with deadly Inflammatory Breast Disease. Perhaps it is time for cancer researchers to go back to the drawing board and try to come up with a diagnostic blood test like the PSA for Prostate Cancer.

East Grand Rapids man dies after police use stun guns

What will it take to ban the use of tasers and stun guns? Cops are not meant to be prosecuting attorneys, Judges, juries and on-the-spot executioners. Taser and stun gun manufacturers have hidden and manipulated the actual number of suspects who were killed by their product.

Finley: Oily health bill fails to build trust

Finley seems to forget that he doesn't have any special insight into what people want in the health bill. As a matter of fact, lately he seems blinded by other fear-mongering populists who simply want to irresponsibly stir up hatred and discourse so they'll have an attention grabbing topic. Nolan, you gratuitously mentioned what "Americans" would or would not want no less than five times in your short article. Are you "bobbing" for Lou Dobb's old job on CNN?

Celibacy rule unchanged

By the Vatican keeping it's celibacy rule now it's going to tell married Anglican clergy who convert they have to stop having sex within their marriages. That oughta convince them to convert, right? This was just a stupid publicity ploy on the part of the Vatican that will blow up in their faces.

Fatal inmate shooting

An IV needle was perceived by the Officer to be a deadly weapon??? The inmate's behavior is inexcusable, but what is it with these cops or corrections officers who get a case of "the vapors" everytime something loud and/or unexpected happens? What kind of training do they receive before they're sent out to deal with the public and why aren't they teamed up to benefit from a co-worker with more experience anymore?

Suspect drove kids to school with loaded guns in truck before Owosso shooting

If Drake had recently been prescribed Zyprexa or Risperdal these medications may cause a possible side effect called depersonalization which in essence causes a disconnection from the mind, from reality and the world around you where actions are dreamlike and have no consequences. The mind and body are "numb" and personally responsible reasoning flies out the window.

Lawmaker's trips questioned

These junkets provided and paid for by corporations and energy lobbys have no other purpose than to provide day camps set up to indoctrinate politicians on particular self-serving issues in elegant surroundings. No doubt the Lobbyists want the wives to travel, too; to discourage the men from getting caught hiring prostitutes and bringing embarrassment to the organizations as well as exposing their purposes and trail of snail slime to the public. This way they can continue their facades as "family men". Everyone involved with this BS should be embarrassed and ashamed, but thats never going to happen since ethics and responsibility isn't a part of any of these organizations or of the politician's personalities. They are all disgusting and set a poor example to the voters and for our children.

Pulte Homes posts $361.4M loss for Q3

It's about time that Pulte Homes started losing millions. They've practically formed a monopoly and build cookie-cutter shoddily built, highly overpriced homes that have garish and largely unnecessary spaces that waste resources. They're just getting their due, that's all!

Child Labor

This is why America enacted the first Child Labor Law in 1836. The children were probably the children of migrant workers.

EPA's settlement with Detroit Company over hazardous waste.

Wow!!! A $700,000 clean-up fee plus a $19,700 dollar fine for knowingly dumping hazardous waste that leaches into the soil and water? It looks like the EPA is really getting serious about white collar crime!

A Repugnant, racist comments do not become less so simply because you put LOL at the end of a sentence. You need to crawl out of your Mom's basement and get into the sunlight more. Interacting with others will also help you to get over phobias, fears and prejudices, but stay out of bars; there are too many people who regurgitate the same trash that you just did.

How the he11 did a little troll like yourself link our President to this issue when people were complaining about it before he WAS popularly elected? What religion did you believe The Three Magi were? I'll give you a couple clues. Christ wasn't born yet, so they weren't Christians and since the Jews didn't believe he was their true Messiah, what other religion could the Magi have possibly been? Besides, people of your ilk just want to scare up bigotry, racial hatred and religious conflict in any way possible while you await your Rapture. Or is that Rupture? I have trouble keeping those straight; but then, I have a problem keeping myself straight, too!
