Mammograms

"Welcome to Obama's rationing of health care"

"The U.S. Preventive Services Task force (USPSTF), funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, published its recommendations in Annals of Internal Medicine; its decision was based on an analysis of existing trials that looked at the impact of mammography on breast-cancer deaths."

http://www.time.com/time/health/article/0,8599,1939896,00.html#ixzz0XKHa2mEm

Who cares that the above issue has nothing whatsoever to do with President Obama or the health care reform bill moving through the Congress. Good grief what fanatics.

DEMOCRATS: PARTY OF ACCEPTANCE-TOLERANCE

Laffy: "First you ask for proof that Byrd authorized lynchings, and then you turn a round and without offering any proof suggest that all Republicans are former Klan members."

I never wrote that all former Republicans are former Klan members. Some sloth speculated that Senator Bryd "ok'd" lynchings, I asked him on what basis he was making such an ugly claim?

"Oh, and for your information, there is no proof that any republicans currently in office were ever members of the Klan."

And you have no proof that some weren't secret members, but then I am not the once trumpeting that claim.

"Furthermore, David Duke was run OUT of the Republican Party once his affiliation with that discredited Racist organization was discovered."

You are factually wrong again Laffy, in point of fact Duke was a well known KKK member, he ran for office as a GOP LA legislator and won, he then WON the GOP nomination for Governor, it wasn't until he won that nomination that the GOP tried to get some distance from him.

"Too bad the Democrats can't muster the integrity to do the same with Byrd."

They wouldn't have any legal basis to do so Laffy, which was my original point.

"What's tiresome is your continued defense of this obvious double standard by the Democrats"

What is tiresome is the perpetual bashing of a 93 year old man for being a Klan member 60 years ago, and your rank ignorance of the basic facts of the David Duke situation that took place are recently as the early 90's. Bryd long, long ago renounced the Klan, David Duke never did so, he was loudly and proudly a Klansman.

DEMOCRATS: PARTY OF ACCEPTANCE-TOLERANCE

Tom, Freeloader: "Take Senator Byrd for example.

Yesterday they were celebrating the fact that he is the longest serving U.S. senator in American history. If I remember correctly, he came into office when Truman was president, well over 55 years ago.

And his Democratic party honored him for this accomplishment: despite his extremely RACIST past as an illustrious member of the KU KLUX KLAN."

Thank you Tom, Freeloader, there probably is at least one person left in America that wasn't aware of that factoid.

"I wonder how many lynchings he "ok'd" in his home state??? Doesn't matter: he's been reformed, RIGHT?"

Do you have any evidence at all that he "ok'd" even a single one Tom? Was it up to him, was that in his job title?

"Had this been a REPUBLICAN, he probably never would have even been allowed to take office in the first place: and if he would have managed to take office and it was found out later, they would have literally crucified him on the steps of the capitol."

You don't think any Republican pols or current party members were even in the Klan Tom, and how would "they" have legally kept him out of office over that issue? You had the Republican party run David Duke for Governor in Louisiana some years ago, I didn't see anybody trying to "crucify" him.

"The Double Standard SREAMS ALOUD again, and HYPOCRISY rules supreme in D.C."

No, your tiresome and hysterical rehashing of utterly ancient non-news is what rules supreme in that empty void between your ears. Senator Bryd like Senator Strom Thurman is a living piece of history, he will be gone one day and we will never see his like again. His entire life will not be measured by one mistake.

Why would Newsweek do this?

Dog do you actually think that Newsweek NEEDED Runners World's permission?

"Yes I'm very aware of your hatered for WHITE evangelicals."

Do tell, can you provide any examples that would back up your claim?

"Let's see you have always said "nothing wrong with making money dog".

I have no problem with her making money, gotta make hay while the sun is shining. As for all the crapola about Senator Feingold, make a citizens arrest or spare me an rehash of all that ancient history.

"She wrote a book. To be fair I recall your ugylyness when that ruthless oppertunist Hillary Clinton wrote a book. Oh wait no I don't."

There is NOTHING wrong with her having a ghost written book Dog, and I never said there was. My take is that St. Sarah is a ruthless political opportunist, based on her scanty history in Alaska. Her support for the BTN before she came out against it. Her treatment of her former brother in law, the State Trooper. Her comments on Levi, the almost "shotgun" son in law. She has two faces Dog, the only one you are willing to see is the pretty one.

If the glove fits

Lamers, as I pay property taxes for a home I own in Grosse Pointe, that is the address I use. I have been reading this board for a number of years, you never vary in the formulaic and cliched material you pump out. You never provide sources to back up your claims, your opinions are not the equivalent of facts. Sadly Lamers, your material is inevitably the same, year in and out. "Libs think this....Rush is truthful and factual". There isn't much else to mention, among the drones that infest this board, your posts rank at the bottom for interest and originality.

I am often accused of being posters that I'm not, like the dolts who have me being Drew, some think I'm Refracto, I really don't care, I post as Celtic Warrior and no other.

Wed. 11/18/09 04:53 PM

If the glove fits

Lamers, you should wear it with pride!!! Do you ever wonder why you devote so much time, day after day, month after month, year upon year to telling people what "libs" think? Why are you so terrified of them Lamers? And what gives you this very special "insight" into what a "lib" thinks, could it be because in your own words, YOU were once a "lib"?

Why do you assume that others share in your biases, and your hackned and cliched views Lamers? Most people form their own opinions, based on their life experiences among other things. Then there are those who listen to a drug abusing radio ranter, they call themselves dittoheads, why don't you tell us what the average ditto on the street thinks about the issues of the day? Hmmmmmm actually that would be pretty dull as they are all programmed to believe whatever Rush tells them, never mind.

Why would Newsweek do this?

snowdogg:"Why that photo?"

Why not that photo, it's an attractive photo of a fit and trim Palin, it's not immodest, what is wrong with it?

"What errors are in her book?"

Who knows? but a team of fact checkers will soon let you know.

"Why are dems always so eager to bring her up and talk about her?"

Why are repugs constantly bringing up Bill Ayers and the President's former Pastor, why are we still hearing about Kenya and secret Muslims snowdogg, why can't those wackjobs move on from the last campaign? I suspect the reason that Dems talk about Palin is the same reason that repubs come on here to defend her. She is constantly in the news and is clearly going to run for President in 2012.

"That tells me and many others they fear her. Fear he ability to touch something people that makes them stir."

So whenever Repubs talk about Nancy Pelosi, it's because they "fear her". The something that makes worry about Palin is the fear that she was within an old man's heartbeat from the Presidency.

"Seems everywhere she goes very large (and getting larger) groups gather. No matter your view of her that is something to be concerned about."

So why did the CBS poll taken just Monday find that 66% of the American public DOES NOT WANT HER TO RUN AGAIN? White Evangelicals are nothing like a majority Dog, they love her, something about her makes them "stir" alright, but this isn't the place to get into that...ahem.

"Or maybe by keeping Sarha in the front it takes heat off Obama's glaring failures."

Are you kidding me? This ruthless opportunist is the one keeping herself in the spotlight so she can cash in while the gettings good. And we have Juanita Murphy, Seedy and all the good little ditto's on here 24 hours a day to alert us about those "glaring failures" Dog. The bottom line is St. Sarah is eye candy for the right, by all means run her again, if you want to guarantee another term for Obama.

Wed. 11/18/09 04:09 PM

Obama is not right for America

erin, what a load of horse manure you just dumped on the board. President Obama tried to get the Olympic games for his state and for his country, shame on the far-right for cheering when America lost out to Brazil.

People ask what would the GOP do instead for health care? Nothing is the answer, they have absolutely nothing to offer other than the standard GOP plan for the past 50 years. Here it is:

1. Don't get sick.

2. If you do get sick, die quickly.

Wed. 11/18/09 03:07 PM

Please run

Lamers you couldn't possibly be more wrong, the Mooseiah was a one hit wonder, as the public got to know her better her ratings simply tanked. Sure she is a big hit with the flat earth, moonbat extreme right, but you can't win national elections with that fringe collection of malcontents. I just posted the CBS poll from Monday, 2/3rds of Americans don't want Carribu Barbie to run. If she gets enough bible bangers and birthers to win the GOP nomination, I will be delirious with joy, I might even send her a contribution, how about you?

Wed. 11/18/09 01:39 PM

Please run

CBS Poll November 16th, 2009

WOULD YOU LIKE SARAH PALIN TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT IN 2012?

All Rep Dem Ind Conservatives White evangelicals

Yes 24% 44% 9% 26% 41% 48%

No 66 48 83 62 50 42

I can't think of a better way to keep the White House Democratic.

Wed. 11/18/09 11:47 AM

Palin, Oh! My, does the the word Fiction rhyme with L I E ?

Muddy you are correct, during a interview with Gibson of ABC, he asked the Mooseiah about her foreign policy credentials and experience. She said that there were places in Alaska where you can see Russia, apparently that made her bona fides on foreign policy.

Hey I have seen Canada across the river from the Joe, I guess I am a foreign policy expert too.

Wed. 11/18/09 10:52 AM

While NOBAMA dithers

Juanita, you're simply lying about what has happened in Afghanistan. When Obama took office he immediately ordered 17,000 reinforcements to Afghanistan. WHERE WERE YOU when the commanders on the ground begged Cheney for reinforcements? The answer was always no Juanita, WHERE WERE YOU? I never read a single post from you demanding reinforcements be sent during the Bush regime.

No matter how much you dittoheads carp and whine, the President is going to take as much time as he needs to make the best decision he can on this mess he inherited, and I am thankful that the days of cowboy diplomacy and Rambo wannabee's squandering American lives are finally over.

Tue. 11/17/09 05:45 PM

An absolutely stunning real life comparison!

Lamers, "Refracto, how do you know that the quotes from MediaMatters are legit? That Chillery-financed outfit has been outed more than once about its fabrications."

How do you know that the quotes aren't legit Lamers? Got any proof, anything at all to back up your claims?

Tue. 11/17/09 05:35 PM

CyberSurvey: Backing Palin?

Lamers, are you aware that Palin's book was ghost written? Do you realize that the game being played in recent times has partisan groups buying up such books in bulk to artifically pump up sales? I don't know what they do with them after that, maybe they go directly to landfills.

I can't help but notice you keep talking about incontinence, I think it's unfortunate that you suffer from that affliction but I understand there are good products available that may help, good luck with that.

Bowing

One of the dimmer bulbs on Faux was getting all worked up because the President bowed to the Japanese Emperor the other day, and previously bowed to the Saudi King. He blathered on and on about how American president NEVER do so. WRONG AGAIN.

Nixon bowed to Hirohito, yeah, the one we fought in WW2. Nixon bowed to Mao, yeah, the one we fought in Korea. Ike bowed to THE FRENCH (this is SO SWEET), Charles DeGaule, holy FREEDOM FRIES!!

Finally, Bush Sr. bowed to the coffin of Hirohito at his funeral in Bush's first and only term. (Much better than puking on the Japanese leader as happened later in that term.) And who can forget Bush Jr. walking hand in hand with the Saudi dictator, kissing him and later doing sword dances with Saudi princes. (It was lovely!!)

These bows by American presidents are no big deal, simply a sign of respect for local customs.
