CyberSurvey: Senate health reform plan
The bill is one big massive TAX BILL
In case you haven't heard the taxes and penalties will start right away, if the bill passes, but the benefits won't start till THREE YEARS LATER.
The bill also makes note that the cost of this health care will be MORE than what you would pay now if you were to go out and purchase a private plan.
The bill also takes away your right to privacy that you currently enjoy with your doctor.
THIS IS NOT WHAT THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE WANT.
If they really wanted to get a handle on health care cost, they would be focusing on the amounts charged by insurance companies, hospitals, doctors, and drug companies. To give these entities a blank check through our governing bodies is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of. And, I know the American people are NOT that dumb, it is the boys in Washington who are, and any one in my district who votes for that bill can count on my vote to vote them out of office when they are up for re-election.

oh, sorry, if the law is allowing this to happen, then I agree the law must be changed. This country has become so backwards in its thinking, that things like this that logical thinking people would like to believe would not happen ....are going on. What a shame......Law enforcement using bad laws to steal from the public.....if someone is not FOUND to be guilty of a crime how can you call it anything else, but a theft?

Seems to me if no charges are brought AND the person found guilty of a crime that includes seizure of property..... a taking and keeping of the property by the police dept. would amount to a theft of that property. They are NOT above the law, as much as some of them might act and think so.

just wait if that health care bill passes, scoring ALL your health care needs will require vigilance. And, like the vaccine you will be lucky if you get it.

How many of you have had trouble finding a doctor that accepts new patients? OR, have you had to wait to get in to see your doctor, like next week or the week after that?I have, in our area there seems to be a shortage of good doctors that will accept new patients and the ones that do, it usually takes a week to get into see them.
There has been news out there that says if this Healthcare bill passes approximately 45% of our present number of doctors will retire.
Do you realize that if this happens there will not be enough doctors to take care of all these people, NONE of us will have proper health care. If you think that everyone should get the same thing with NO HOPE of any better care, I believe you will get what you want in this health care bill.
And those of you who think it is free. The bill says YOU MUST PURCHASE health care insurance if you don't have it though work and if you don't YOU WILL be taxed an additional 2.5%. Nothing is free, it all comes with a cost and I have a feeling if this passes your not going to like what it costs you, both financially, your loss of privacy with your doctor (if you can find one) and the lack of availability to find proper health care in the U.S.

I believe in MY justice in MY home.
I don't need big brother to come into my home and tell me how to run my life. I have more confidence in my own abilities to deal with the situation properly then I do in government to do things correctly. Government is part of the problem - not the cure.

Brynes don't attempt to speak for people you know nothing about. Some may feel that way, many do NOT. ALL I AM GOING TO SAY IS THAT YOU ARE WRONG THEY DO NOT (ALL) THINK THAT.
Marriage is a WORD used to describe the union between a man and a woman. What you would have me understand is that you seek to change the meaning of the word.
I say why doesn't the State and the Federal government just get out of people's lives DON'T classify and tax based on married or single DON'T insure based on married or single. Just don't do anything based on married or single and then watch how many people really care.
Gays say they want a marriage blessed, approved or whatever by the Government, I say WHO CARES.....GOVERNMENT APPROVAL OF MY LIFE MEANS NOTHING TO ME.......I DON'T EVEN UNDERSTAND, HOW TRUTHFULLY, THIS COULD MEAN ANYTHING AT ALL TO ANY ONE, most sure don't care when government doesn't approve of them cheating on their taxes.....oh yeah we pick and choose to suit our needs and arguments, don't we?

ok they say 650,000 jobs saved - fuzzy math can't prove it.
but we do know that 3 million jobs have been lost.
So how can you say any have been saved? 3 million less 650 ,000 (if I pretend that is true) equals 2.3 million jobs lost.

RE: Swine Flu hits Michigan hard
Ok, this leaves me with questions
I have read that it has been shown that those that get the flu shot are more likely to get the flu (maybe with less severity, I don't know)
So Michigan received 1 million flu vaccines, although it is uncertain how many vaccines were administered at this point.
Michigan has 416,000 or so recorded victims of so called "flu" symptom (this does NOT say they are confirmed swine flu cases !) So of these 416,000 or so people how many of them received the Swine flu shot? It sure would be nice to know that fact, are they recording it when they register the so called "flu symptom" cases? And, how are they registering these cases? Where is the data coming from?
Another question would be in a normal year when the flu hits what is the percentage of population for whom it is fatal, and they die? Not the number of cases, that is meaning less because as populations increase so will the numbers. You have to look at the percentage of the population afflicted.
Another thing I heard was that a few weeks after you receive your first dose of the H1N1 vaccine you must receive a "booster" or you will not be "protected" - So if this is true out of all these people who got the vaccine, did any of them get the "booster" or have they wasted their time getting the shot?
Also I have heard this vaccine has not be completely tested for safety. And, that is contain a Mercury based preservative. (as the past flu shots have also) We have all been told how harmful Mercury is to humans, so what gives with putting it into something you are injecting into people? (google this people - you will find many harmful effects possible from this mercury based preservative) Have we become "human guinea pigs", because the U.S. government about a year ago, devalued us? (for those of you who don't know the U.S. government assigns a value on a person's life- atleast this is what I heard)
One last comment people, ask questions ! Don't let a news story determine how you are going to feel about an issue - most of the time critical facts have been left out:)
