Goat: No, I was speaking specificallly about people committing vigilante justice in place of the law enforcement community. And, related to it, a mechanism where people accused of stuff (child molestation included) are able to retain counsel to defend themselves against charges. This was in response to eric's claim that "no one should ever defend a child molester, period". I disagree with that statement

Actually, I do think that there are people who should defend child molesters, as well as other miscreants. They are called Defense Attornies. Without them, we would descend into chaos

I was not doing that. I was only saying that they should be dealt with by the criminal justice system, not a vigilante. Seems to me that there is a huge religion that has been hiding pedophiles.
