Not going to happen with the current crowd. Not when POTUS and FLOTUS jet set off to NYC, Chicago and all over Europe on our dime.

If it doesn't come from the top down it won't happen. They don't care about you.

Just pay up and shut up.

Also, special interest, private companies,etc... should be outlawed from paying for any government employees' "fact finding missions" aka vacations! Who do the politician answer to? Their constituents or big money?

It is time the Political "nobility" come back to earth.

The Public SERVANTS need be shown their "place".

America is living off BORROWED money .... from the CHINESE.

EVERY CENT this government spends is BORROWED.

What do you think America's future will be, when this must be repaid?

The Chinese are quietly going around the planet buying resources and the means of production. America is BORROWING money from the Chinese to buy $50,000 bombs to drop on MUD HUTS. WHO do you thing is going to be PROSPEROUS ?!?!?!?!

Meanwhile, members of Congress enjoy "cradle to grave" SOCIALIST medical and retirement benefits that outstrip those of the old Soviet Central Committee members.

1) Make all politician's pay a percentage of the AVERAGE pay of their constituents. That would give them INCENTIVE to get jobs back from China.

2) Make all politician's retirement plans a percentage of the AVERAGE retirement plan of their constituents, that provides INCENTIVE to work for the PEOPLE.

3) Make all politicians get on SOCIAL SECURITY, like the rest of us, and dissolve their fancy, overpaid plans. All State/Federal workers also. That will provide INCENTIVE to fix what THEY BROKE.

4) Make all politician's medical benefits a percentage of the AVERAGE benefits of their constituents, that provides INCENTIVE to work for the PEOPLE .

5) Make all politician's pensions dependent on the security of their constituent's pensions. If the People are losing their pensions due to economic distresses then the politicians should also.

I am totally APPALLED by this entitlement attitude. What kind of bullpucky are they trying to feed us! And don't tell me that doesn't influence a person's decision on matters concerning who paid for the wive's expenses. The elected must think the rest of us are idiots! Get rid of them all!!!!!!!!

This should not even be a problem if we had politicians who didn't think they deserve this type of treatment or they "earned it".

Peters has only been in office a year and he is already doing crap like this? He ran on ethics and getting the budget balanced didn't he? What a hypocrite!

This question is truly pathetic. Congress-the state legislature, county elected officials, and all city, township, and village officials, are on the public dole and accountable to no one and it is the VOTERS fault! Damn! Where is activism?
