The New York 23 election

No doubt Secretary of State Clinton wasn't born in New York, by that token Bush Jr. wasn't born in Texas. The point was that the citizens of NY and Texas voted for and elected Mrs. Clinton and Bush Jr.

Contrast with the consitutents of the NY23 district, whose traditionally republican voters opted for a female candidate to represent them in the general election. Soon your Mooseiah and other far right operatives parachuted into the district and began to boss the locals around. They didn't like being bossed as you might note from the results.

This was a real blunder by St. Sarah and Rush and it shows they neither appear to have real political "legs". With all his bombast, day and night media bombast, Rush couldn't get the voters to opt for Grandpa Munster or in this case the Carpetbagger.

Warrior, regarding your "carpetbagger" statement: it seems NY state as a whole had no problem with a carpetbagger a few years ago. Did you forget that? Obama won, embalmed her and sent her to Foggy Bottom, and now has her on world tours in much the same way that Chinese cadavers have been travelin' of late.

Juanita,

"The RINO only got 5k votes"

Ahh...that was AFTER she dropped out of the race.

Face it Juanita, the Mooseiah and Rush bit off more than they could chew, nobody wants carpetbaggers parachuting into their district to boss them around.

Now...THAT was harsh and UNCALLED for! Just when I thought our relationship was stable and healthy, you go and do that. I want my ring and green T-shirt back!! Hrumphhh!

The RINO only got 5k votes. No wonder why liberals want people who disagree with them to vote for RINOs that would put stupidity off the charts on the Celtometer.

Didn't you just call her a "good woman" in your 11:23 post? I must be turning into a liberal, because I'm now confused.

-- She was a quitter and a money grubber-in disguise. I'd hardly call her a good woman GOP candidate or any other kind of good candidate.

The very definition of Sarah Palin.

Celtic Warrior, Grosse Pointe, MI --

So you admit your admirable woman GOP candidate is no better than the woman GOP personage you so despise? You have very unusual standards.

-- Any of you who supported throwing a good woman GOP candidate under the bus should be ashamed, but I doubt you are capable.

OldGoat what a sanctimonious hypocrite you really are! If your Mooseiah had persuaded the voters of that district to elect the carpetbagger, Rush and St. Sarah and all you dittoheads would have been on here bloviating about it endlessly as some huge victory for "conservatives".

Instead you had a repudiation of top down, command and control far right operatives telling people at the local level what to do. Any of you who supported throwing a good woman GOP candidate under the bus should be ashamed, but I doubt you are capable.

The New York 23 election

Using the New York 23 election as any sort of bellwether is absolute nonsense! There was no primary, the winner's "reign" will be short term. The carpetbagger coming in second made a pretty good showing for what little time he spent in the district! Anyone want to make a prediction of how the seat will go after a real election process???
