Islamic community voices outrage over mass killings
The record of muslim atrocities is simply too long and to horrendous to believe the pathetic denials any longer. I know I could fill a page with muslim mayhem in just the past 10 years. They are simply not to be trusted. The United States should modify the immigration laws to prevent further immigration from Muslim countries. Will it happen? Not likely.

Thanks Bill. You've destroyed 40 years of winning tradition to satisy your ego....well done. The hiring of RR has sent this program back at least 5-7 years. If it doesn't work out next year and RR is fired it will take another three years to clean up this debacle. I can already hear the excuses for next years losing season after playing the prized QB recruit from Inkster and saying its freshmen mistakes. So another year is wasted. We could've had an innovative coach that run a pro-style offense and had Ryan Mallet at QB... enough said. Carr would have this team at 9-3.
Orlando shooting suspect mentally ill
Jason Rodriguez killed one person and wounded five others at an engineering firm in Orlando, Florida. His lawyer says Rodriguez is mentally ill. Hours earlier stressed-out army psychiatrist Nidal Hasan killed 13 people at Fort Hood, Texas and wounded 30 others. Much is being made of the fact that he is a Muslim but he may have been taking the same drugs he handed out to stressed-out soldiers every day. A few weeks ago Warren mom Tanya Friedly received a 6-year sentence for drugging and attempting to burn her two children. She did accomplish burning down her house. DetNews quoted Friedly's mom as saying her daughter may have suffered a breakdown last fall after she began taking new medications for depression and anxiety, her boyfriend lost his job and she was faced with losing her home to foreclosure. How is it that every time somebody goes on a mass murder/suicide rampage like Columbine or Virginia Tech, they are on some sort of psychiatric drug or being treated or recently treated in the mental health system? Maybe today's psychiatric drugs which carry Black Box warnings that they can cause people to commit suicide, homicide and violent acts are just gasoline we are pouring on the mental health fire. No wonder things are getting worse. The treatment isn't working.
UofM Defense
Does UofM's defensive chaos reflect more on Coach Rod or defensive coordinator Greg Robinson? You really do wonder about what reasoning RR used in picking Robinson...was it b/c he was one of his boys from the big east? It can't be Robinson's record with the Orange...Robinson led the Syracuse program to 4 years of absolute losingness. So his record there couldn't have been a resume builder. His 2 decent years with the Broncos? that was kind of a long time ago. You really wonder if Robinson was the best choice given other possibilities. You'd think that this late in the season you wouldn't see so much mayhem and rudimentary breakdowns in the backfield. I'm not trying to hate on anyone, but this hiring for defensive coordinator is curious. Or is all the defensive badness more on RR?

No,you don't. The health bill that will be voted on has not even been issued to the public to read(as was promised). I'm sure it is changing often until voted on. So unless your a member of Congress you do not know what your talking about until you read the bill that you are unable to read right now. And by 'reading most of it' does not mean you read it. And what about the Constitutionality of it. You did not mention that. That would more than likley take a Constitutional expert.

Tom Long's Diss of "Xmas Carol" Is Hogwash
We just came home from the Henry Ford seeing Disney's "A Christmas Carol" on 3D Imax.
It was one of the finest film adventures of our lives. We had our grandchildren (4 and 6) and while its true they plugged their ears a few times ... the were pied eyed and giddy when we came out.
The computer generated 3D animation is some of the best you'll see. They're really starting to perfect the look of the Imax screen. You'll fly over old Downtown London at breakneck speeds. And yes ... you'll stare directly into the seriously dead and absolutely ugly face of Jacob Marly, rotten teeth and all.
But before the kids have a chance to decide they want out of the theater ... Disney gently makes a joke out of it and the peals of childrens' laughter and cheers can be heard from the front to back.
Tom Long's morbid diss of Xmas Carol is pandering, lazy and over protective. If he phoned it in it couldn't have been less accurate.

Michigan delegated debate health care
It looks like Pelosi and the house will confirm that Obama is a liar. Obama was called a liar by representative Wilson when he Obama asserted that illegals will not be covered by the legislation. The issue at the time was that the legislation provided little verification and illegals would qualify by simple fraud( a well developed skill possessed for many in the group). The Senate made some changes to address some of the concerns. The house refused to make substantial changes- the Hispanic caucus indicated that they would not support any legislation that blocked fraud.
So Pelosi and the Hispanic caucus have confirmed Obama is a liar.

I just wonder how much longer this nation can go down this road before we start physically hurting each other. We are bombarded by smarmy talking heads on tv and raido and we think it's fine to be uncivil to each other over a bunch of politicians. Politicians who are more and more out of touch with middle America. And both parties have serious crooks and cheats.
If health care to the poor is whats needed fine. Like welfare and food stamps give the poor health care. But that's not what is happening here. It's government control. Is this even in our Constitution? I have not even heard the question asked. That should be the very first hurdle cleared. I think the main reason people are against this health reform is that it is a power grab by our government. This not reform. I'm quite sure that everybody has issues with their health care provider. And government could step in and have real reform. But that is not what government is doing. Government wants to run health care. This is where I have an issue with this. In my opinion government does not do a very good job running anything. Including wars. And if anyone thinks that government bureaucracy will green light every and all procedures I don't think so. That a government bureaucracy will keep costs down? They never have.
People here argue and name call over this issue and they have no idea what their even talking about. They have not read the bill. But whats even worse is that neither have the politicians who will vote on it. And yet they get a free pass. That is shameful. That people want something they don't even understand nor do the people that will make it law. Shouldn't we demand more from our public officals? I do. I think they should do their job not follow party leaders that want to ram unread bills into laws. This is scary stuff,pols voting bills into law and they don't even know whats in the bill. And what do we do? Demand they read it and convey that to us? Hell no. We rip on each other over stuff we don't know anything about. Democracy? We ask what happend to democracy? What happened to us?

What do they mean BCN requesting a $33 hike? They told my spouse and me that our BCA will be increasing $95 per month ea. which is a 109% increase. This along with raising the co-pays by 25% to 150%. Then social security says we are not getting a COLA increases this next year.

Chrysler and Fiat quality issues
It's quite strange to hear about Fiat having quality problems given the quality checks they put in place with regards to the Fiat 500, which they exclusively make at their plant in Poland, a former Communist country that most people probably wouldn't associate with the manufacture of a high-quality vehicle.
True, Fiat's quality problems from the 1970s are well known (FIAT=Fix It Again, Tony) and the main reason Fiat left the United States in the early 1980s, but it's still strange. I wonder what vehicles these customers had.
