GOGO- From what I've heard, Stafford went back out against the advice of Dr.'s and coaches. He just ran out there. I think that was a HUGE step in gaining the teams confidence.
Unfortunately, I agree with you on the coaching. Schwartz standing there with his arms crossed seemingly dazed, instead of wringing those CB's necks leaves me wanting more action. We'll see, I mean, there's so little talent, what do you do?
Shawn Rogers
I don't recall hearing biggies name called once yesterday.
Richard With Ford Credit
Just got a call from some guy named "Richard"(Sounded like Ahmed or Habib to me) at Ford Credit, wanting to know when I will be making my payment. When I congratulated him on the big win yesteray, and asked his opinion on Matthew Stafford, he seemed a little perplexed. Geez, you would think the Ford family would have thrown a big party. I guess word travels slowly to Pakistan.
Need Another Prophecy......
Artie- Kwan was emotionally hurt yesterday. You could see the pain in his eyes(you had to look closely through the jaundice and bloodshot).
pettigrew
Gypsy- I have correctly predicted 2 out of 10 games this year. Let me gloat.
Oh yeah! By the way.......
Neil- He was too big and fast to play in Joe Barry's scheme.
Greatest Gridiron Prophecy by Fly Dog
Oh, and Art, as Dougal most astutely pointed out, the 0 that I predicted for the Browns was a metaphorical 0. Let me know if I should slow down, I'd love for you to be able to keep up. Geesh, some people and their ego's.
Neil- No need to heap praise, it gets tiresome. Our secondary was an absolute joke yesterday. Didn't Phillip Buchanon used to be good?
Greatest Gridiron Prophecy by Fly Dog
Well, Art, I'm glad you asked. Now that the foundation for the Legacy has been built with our Lord and Savior Matt Stafford, the predicting biz just got easier(if he's not broken in 1/2). Even Huggy has finally seen the light and decided to agree with me on everything. He's our prediction, with the 4 possible factors being starting QB, with chance of starting %:
Stafford (38.2): Lions 31 GB 30
DrPepper (34.5): Lions 3 GB 44
T Dilfer (27.1): Lions 13 GB 38
DStanton (0.02): Lions 24 GB 34
Fouts, Manning, Brady, Roethlisberger, Aikman
Bradshaw, Staubach, McNabb, Favre, Moon......There's 10 more names out of 1000's who never did what Stafford did today while playing for much better teams.
Fly Dog
If you sell me any type of land, and finance it, you're the gullible one. C'mon Max, not you too? Geeze people, we won today. Can't you just take that for what it is....a WIN?!
will this comeback win lead to something good.?
Zibulator- I DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT I JUST SAW!!!!!!!
Of course it's good to get a win, these crybabies that b1tch and moan and demean after a win are beyond help. Stafford sets an NFL single game rookie record for TD's, and the dumdums pop off with, "Yeah, but it was against the crummy Browns." Unreal. Poor, miserable souls. I think we're on to something with some of these youngsters Zib, especially Stafford. GO LIONS!
KKB
Yeah you're right. Out of EVERY rookie QB to EVER start a game, they ALL played EVERY snap against great defenses in blizzard conditions. Think of it this way, buzz-kill, no rookie QB has EVER tossed 5 TD's against the Lions in their cozy dome against their crummy defenses, or in ANY OTHER CIRCUMSTANCE in 60+ years, for that matter.
Huggy- Yeah, I'm just full of myself, aren't I?
And The Legend Is Written...........
Yeah, I meant the 38 literally, and the 0 metaphorically. See everyone, Dougal gets me!
And The Legend Is Written...........
I feel numb and dirty all over. It just can't be?!?!?!
And The Legend Is Written...........
Matthew Stafford becomes the 1st rookie IN THE HISTORY OF THE NFL to throw 5 TD passes in a game. Not Marino, Montana, Elway, nobody against the Lions..........STAFFORD, THE 1ST ROOKIE EVER TO DO IT. Not too shabby.
Cut: Buchanon, Circiu, Manuel and Ko Simpson.
I believe it was I who predicted a 38 point offensive outburst today; how do ya like me now?
