Lions' Biggest Opportunity: Remove Negativity

Man, I just lost a great post about sobriety! I ain't writin' it again 'acause I m travelin' in the wrong direction. I just thought that a good sobriety test would be a typin test,"HERE! TYPE THIS!" "YER UNDER THE INFLUENCE!" Wcf could just pay me not to watch or comment on the Lions. I feel positive...but only see negative.....hmmmmm Maybe that's what WCF sees...he feels he's making positive moves to correct the problems(he ain't looked in the mirror yet)and all he then sees is negative results...possible...I'll ponder it fer a bit. I'm doin' pretty good tonight after starting on doubles(well maybe one and one-halfs)no body to stop me..... I envy you guys who took typin' in school. Ya see I am typin' challenged...yeh....hard to believe I know(but if you knew how LONG i been re-correctin' this post!)ANYWAYS, compairin my typin' skills to some o' yourn is like gettin' and eight year old, drunk and then lettin' him drive! I reckon I could post this one if'n I don't push the wrong button. GO TEAM! RAH,RAH!

Lions' Biggest Opportunity: Remove Negativity

WCF holds to his motto;

Winners never quit,(This means himself cashing in on us . )

and losers never win,(I resemble that remark)

but those who never win, (are you talking about Me?)

and never quit(only on monday,by Saturday I'm EliZaret)

are idiots (ok ...me)

I agree with your post on WCF and the zero chance the Lions have of improving under his ownership.

How many wins would they have with Kitna starting and having Curry on the Def.?.....probably one.....but,

Next year they could go after Colt McCoy if they didnt have

'Lil Bobby' Stafford....

Why did they give away R.Williams when they were so dumb as to draft TE Pettegrew with that choice?......they Could have gotten Laurinitis at that pick.

Why did they let Mike Furry walk away,and then sign bums like Johnson and Northcutt?

The stupidity just continues- on and on and on......

WCF promotes dopes like Mayhew and lewand instead of getting a REAL GM !!!

(at least he didnt grab another Millen out of the broadcast booth)

Calvin and what ever is left of Matt Stafford will bail out at contract time....I just hope Kevin Smith does also....

WCF holds to his motto;

Winners never quit,

and losers never win,

but those who never win,

and never quit,

are idiots

It would make the Lions enablers. My HOPE is that CJ will stay, again, not based on anything but blind hope and slight chances.

If Redding is a bum, what does that make the Lions? Palm Beach? They offered him the contract, not the other way around. Stick around and let's see what happens with CJ.

Redding is a bum. A 70 million dollar bum, but a bum none-the-less.

WC- I see CJ as a low-key, limelight reluctant-type Super-Star. I hope I'm right, and he will be happy to put up #'s with Stafford, while toiling in obscurity for a loser for many years to come.

Lions' Biggest Opportunity: Remove Negativity

When an organization, like the Detroit Lions, is so bad for so long, there has to be a reason. We've all hit on the number one consistent factor over the long run: The Owner. But, the real opportunity now is the negativity that permeates the Lions. Yesterday, there was an article on Cory Redding, who asked to be traded. Whether you felt Redding was good or bad is irrelevant; he was the leader on the defensive line, and he wanted out. The Lions also got rid of Roy Williams in his contract year. It was a good trade for the LIons, but how many thought he would resign with the Lions? Few, if any. Now, we watch Calvin Johnson, and he is no CRog or Roy Williams. This guy is as close to a superstar the Lions have had since Barry. Do you think he'll want to stay with this organization when he starts year five (two more years)? What does it take to change all these negative vibes? IMO, Strong and Smart Leadership. Do the Lions have it? IMO, the answer is clear cut...NO. And, what's really sad is that the Lions now find themselves in a Catch-22 Situation. The way they're playing, it's likely they'll end this season with 3 wins...IF they're lucky. That means they'll end up with another Top Three Pick...again. That means they'll either have to plunk boucous bucks on the table, or they'll have to make a Panic Trade cause they don't have the money or are fed up with these high draft busts. The sad fact is that the Lions have no one to blame for the situation they now find themselves. When an owner promotes people who have no successful track record, and are incompetent for the position they assume, what does he expect? This is what he's done for decades, and this is why star players will want to bail at first opportunity. Millen may be gone, but his ghost still haunts the Lions. Not until a real leader comes in will the Negativity be gone. Otherwise, just watch the sad results continue.
