The Scene, ahem.....
Last year they played at Spartan Stadium with several games played that day. Cold as all get out.
Other times they games have been played at Lansing Everett. Not a bad field, parking is terrible and they charge for it.
I choose Spartan Stadium
D1 Rockford
Rockford 14 - Grand Haven 7. Rockford comes back to win late in Q 4.
Rockford Score
Rockford 42 â€" Grandville 17 on a wet and muddy field. The game was close until ½ time when Rockford opened it up. Lots of subs in by both sides in the last quarter. Let the payoff's begin!!!
West Side Game
Rockford (7-0) trails E. Kentwood (5-2) for three (3) quarters 0-13. In the 4th quarter Rockford scores twice and makes the extra points to win 14-13 over a very good E. Kentwood team. Rockford now 8-0 plays a good Grandville team at Grandville (6-1 at the start of this night) next week. Should be a real good game. Play-offs are getting close. Should be interesting
Win-Loss Record
A word from the West Side of the state.
Looking at the win-loss records of the teams that the top two (2) teams in the State have played ......
The teams Sterling Heights Stevenson has already played have a win-loss record of 21-22.
The teams Rockford has already played have a win-loss record of 28-21.
Both teams have to play teams with winning records in the last two (2) games of the regular season.
Should be interesting going into play-offs.

Is it not the student population of the school that determines the Division that you are in?
High School Sports
I once heard they play the game to determine the winners and who is the best. The games are over and the best has been determined until next year. Congratulations to all.
Let us not forget the purpose of playing sports is to develop the student athletes for the future. Not everyone who participates in a sport will go on to play at a higher level in his or her sport. However, under good coaching the athlete will be provided with a sound base of focus, which is very important for their future.
Let us not over look the purpose of what schools are really for.........to educate and prepare our future generation of leaders.
Smart students and smart athletes are the mark of excellence and all of our schools State wide should be proud of their accomplishments in the classroom and in the field of play.
I leave you with the following.
Four Consecutive Years of Straight "A's"
For the fourth consecutive year, each of Rockford Public Schools' eight elementary schools, two middle schools, and high school level earned a letter grade of "A" under Education Yes!, the State accountability system used in Michigan to determine how well schools are performing.
The primary indicator used to determine a letter grade is student achievement on the MEAP tests and the ACT Michigan Merit Exam.
In addition, each of the Rockford Public Schools earned AYP status (Adequate Yearly Progress) under the federal government's NCLB (No Child Left Behind) Act.
Very few school districts across the State can make this claim.
