OLSM VS EGR
This is the rematch all want to see and they will at Ford Field on Saturday Nov 28. Today the Eaglets played well there defense was a killer as usually and there offense put points on the board! The defense did a great job with contributions from Bundrea Conway(#94) 2 sacks 3 tackles Justin Ruby (#66) 3 tackles Cortez Riley(#96) 1 sack 2 tackles and Marcus Gleaves (#62) 1 sack 4 tackles James Ross (#6) 1 sack 8 tackles Michael Kneigsnect (#23) 5 tackles and last but not least Michale Padula(#8) and Earnest Thomas(#7) who combined had 17 tackles this defense will cause problems for EGR's offense and limit Kirk Spencer from running the ball so much I think that OLSM will go all the way. Not counting the champions out but I personally think OLSM is hungrier for this ring and there respect.
Division 3 Match ups and Games
Tom I think you need to enlighten your fans about the Division 3 matches that are here now and that are coming thanksgiving weekend. The Eaglets play DeWitt this Saturday at one and my sources tell me they play at Fenton High-school. I think you should tell your viewers about Orchard Lakes Defense witch did an amazing job this weekend with great help from Marcus Gleaves who had 3 Sacks an 8 tackles. Also Dewitt is BIG! Im Not sure of his name but # 77 is huge nice size at 6"7 276 he should give the eaglets trouble. The Eaglets running game is great tho with Earnest Thomas UCLA bound Safety running the ball the way he is they should be able to beat DeWitt or at-least give them a great game. Then on the other side of the bracket you have East Grand Rapids playing Ognesaw Hills. I think East GRand Rapids will beat them because of the defense EGR has and how quick they react to the ball that should be a good game. I think we will see another rematch between OLSM and EGR.
St.Marys Defense
St Marys Defense showed up one again! They stopped the Detroit Crocket QB Tony Lippet (#10) and contained him. "Lippet is a great player" said by head coach George Porrit of the eaglets. but the eaglets defense had consecutive stops on there team. The secondary starting with Allen Robinson(#14) had some key plays for Orchard that stoped a couple long balls. Also the linbackers starting with James Ross(#6) had some big hits to stop scrambling for the rockets. Then in the trenches the defensive line had a great day giving great pressure. Marcus Gleaves(#62) did a great job of that as he racked up two sacks on the Michigan state recruit today witch gave the eaglets momentum. Also Earnest Thomas(#7) ran the ball good for the eaglets getting 3 touchdowns witch gave the eaglets a score of 21. The Rockets only had one successful drive as QB Tony Lippet (#10) threw a pass over the top for a rocket Touchdown. Ending score 21 to 7 eaglets advance on to play Dewitt at a neutral site this will be a semi-final game whoever wins that game will advance on to the tae final
Defense
Yes thats true but the Eaglets had made some changes to get there defense like that maybe personnel wise or trying something new. And the four losses they did have were against top ranked teams like East Grand Rapids Highland Park, And Also Detroit Catholic Central but thats in the past now all I no is the Eaglets are on a roll. I wonder who they will face next my money is on crocket to be there next game.
Defense
Orchard Lakes Defenses is stacked you have UCLA Bound Earnest Thomas(#7) James Ross (#6) an ex detroit Cub. Also you have Bundrea Conway who showed me once again why he is such a great linebacker. Also You have Michael Padula (#8) who is a great linebacker who gets it done. Then in the trenches you have Marcus Gleaves (#62) who is a great pass rusher and gets sacks on the QB and is very quick off that ball in the middle you have Justin Ruby(#66) who is like a bull. Then you have another tackle Cortez Riley(#96) who is also quick off the ball and is powerful. Then the secondary is tough from Juniors Michael Koneigsnect(#23) and Corey Lucas(#4) its an interception all day for those too then you have Seniors Gary Hunter(#2) and Michael Gilliam(#10) .Its is safe to say that this defense is the best in the state.
Melvindale Vs Orchard Lake St. Marys
Tonight OLSM had a great game it was a big shocker to me and the rest of the melivindale community to see there cardinals go down like that. Melvindale did have some sparks but the Eaglets defense doused there flame! There Defense was lead by Sophomore James Ross(#6) who had a big one tonight! Also Senior Linebacker Bundrea Conway (#94) who had a great day sacking there QB. Also I saw great Pressure by Junior Defensive Tackle Marcus Gleaves(#62) who Made some key plays down the stretch and had a fumble recovery. The Eaglets offense was successful tonight punching the cardinal D in the face by scoring right of the back. Melvindales Speed showed why they came in 10-0 there running back #2 look liked lighting out there. If I was a betting man i would have went on Melvindales side before the game but the eaglets cleary showed other wise coming in to this game. The Eaglets will each other play Detroit Crockett or Hazel park both teams play tomorrow at 1 at Detroit Osborn. I will have a summary of that game tomorrow.
State Finals Predictions
What are some of your predictions? I think we will see a rematch between OLSM and EGR, Also I think Inkster will go all the way. Then from the PSL I think Detroit southeastern will make some noise
Orcahrd Lake Stmarys record
I dont see how St. Marys record could be like that there team is stacked! You have Great Sophomores like middle Linebacker James Ross#6. Junior Defensive tackles Marcus Gleaves #62 and Cortez Riley #96, and big nose tackle Justin Ruby #66 also the secondary you got blazing speed from senior corner Gary hunter#2 who will get pics and take them to the house and corey Lucas #4 ( cousin of MSU great point guard Kalin Lucas) who shows his athletic ability and quickness.I personally think that maybe the schedule OLSM has could be the problem because they play all top ranked teams like power house East Grand Rapids to additional power house Detroit Catholic Central.I went to the prep bowl game when CC played OLSM and The defense for both sides carried the weight but especially OLSM, Junior Defensive tackle Marcus Gleaves Made key plays to keep the eaglets in the game from his sack witch got the crowd roaring to his consecutive stops on big fullback nicko paletezi #46. Im telling you keep your eyes on this young man and the eaglets because they will come out on top. I think we will se a great game by this young man and the whole eaglet ball club especially as they play another top ranked power house team this friday at 7 pm at Melvindale. they will play the cardinals it is a district championship game so we will see who will take it home tomorrow at 7 . Cant wait to see what happens!
