Tom, you're forgetting one other big game this weekend, Jackson Lumen Christi at Madison Heights Madison. I think the winner of this one goes to FF also. AND, MHM could win the championship, which could make for 3 MAC teams. I am not keeping my hopes up though. Still a tough road ahead.

Hi all posters writing in again to help I hope Eastisder 91 and anyone else on how to get to fantasyland at Dakota.....Dakota compared to Wisner is like Disneyland compared to a local streetcorner carnival ....a aritifical turf field with an $18000 dollar scoreboard and well lit up all over....very large stands on Dakota side with a Big Ten style sized press box....big, big houses outbehind the north end of the field with the guy with the big bonfire every week Dakota plays.....barbed wire ES91???? Sure you werent at the entrance to Jackson???? Maybe they use it as a parttime prison yard....anyone coming from M59 leave early...traffic is a B-I-G B-E-AR**** on M59 from about 5 to 7 pm. or so....leave earleeeeeeeeee!!! coming from Troy you will pass Hayes Rd (light), Garfield (light), Romeo Plank (light) then you are close....trademark will be on the north side of M59 a Home Depot with a gas station in front of it....that is Heydenreich....make a Mich U turn and go north on Heydenreich one mile to Dakota....parking will be very tight by about 6:15 to 6:30 p.m.....anyone is better off taking the mile roads (21, 22, 23, 24 etc) and then proceeding southbound on Heydenreich to 21 and Heydenreich - the stadium......the stadium is like a big Ten stadium....very large with an impressive and large press box and there is plenty of dogs, nachos, corn, pop, etc right underneath the stands along with the johns....
Leaving the stadium around 9:30 or so traffic should move quickly....ES91 I a definitely up for your offer of free food next week at the Dakota/Romeo game.....leave me your e-mail address and I will introduce myself to you....no punches or profanity please!!!! The Dakota cheerleaders and dance team put on a very good show at the half along with the band...very good entertainmnet....band looks like it has 42000 members out there!!!! Also very large visitor stands on the visitors side.....nice johns that are well lit up and heated.....am expecting a barn burner of a game friday night....should be a dandee****** Later, Tom and peace to all.......

Hi posters, early in the moaning....everyone is getting excited about the next round, but the crossover rounds in FB (and BB) are the best.....especially when you play a team out of your conference....lots of fun to see what other conferences bring to the table....like a 10-0 record in one league may be no better of a team than a team 5-4 in a much tougher conference....hard to judge....as far as SE goes most of the teams they play in the PSL are rag-tag and almost laughable....some lower level Mega teams are like that too....still stand by my predictions - Stevenson to put a whuppin on Mott, Dakota over Ike by 3-7, GP North vs. DLS too close to call.....who does CC play next????
I am sure that team is for real...but the last time Dakota played CC 2-3 years ago, Dakota wins 17-10 or so....some games are very hard to figure out.....also like the umps I have seen zebras make bad calls like last year at Dakota when a pass for an apparent TD in the end zone was ruled incomplete when TV replays showed it was a good catch....guess you have to have the zebras on your side too,.....Lions: this team is so hapless I wonder if they could beat Mich or Mich State....coaches come and go and nothing changes....if you have a bad pot of soup no amount of cooks can change the taste.....So far Schwartz and Stafford are major disappointments.....this team has very little talent and zero defense....likely finish - 3-13 if they get lucky.....Baseball: Yanks are the best team in the majors...they have all you need, power, speed, pitching, MR in the bullpen who is lights out and they dont make stupid mistakes on the bases and make very few errors....how can you beat that?? Ryan Howard is a big bust against top AL pitching....9 KOs in 14 at bats????

Hi posters, getting ready for Tigs/Twins brawl in a couple of hours....keep Cabrera away from the lounge at the metrodome please!!! I love the laws we have, Joe citizen and his wife get in a rumble and they both or one get arrested....must be nice to be a celeb and get picked up in a limo by the boss too....anyhow, Macomb "stands are packed" at every MAC game...first of all I have not been at every MAC FB stadium in the county, mostly I know and have seen that in MAC RED and White stadiums....what is packed to you??? 10000 people at every game??...I get stories and reports from fans, some asst coaches, ADs, parents, who have told me about the crowd sizes.....Rivals.com has the top 100 football teams in the US rated and Stevenson is tops in Michigan at #34, Southeastern no. 45 and rising fast, E. Grand Rapids at #56 with a 6-0 record, Lowell at 67, Rockford at #73 with their usual undefeated record....surprisingly CC is not listed at all in top teams.....????? Friday night might venture over to Fitz and see the big rumble....DLS needs a win in more ways than one...first lose and they will be in playoff trouble, win and they reestablish their program....which will it be????
Very tall order for DLS to beat CC in my mind......hearing Madison Hts. Madison is one powerhouse team and could probably give any team around a hell of a game....question is with hapless Ford II likely to drop out of the MAC RED who will take their place??? Warren Mott, GP North and Madison are hopefuls I hear....just thinking, Rockford and E. Grand Rapids very likely to be in finals at FF.....who is going to dispute it???? Rockford is like the Dakota of the east side...always a powerhouse team....Ike vs. Romeo coming up...that should be a dandeee....how will Lantzy stop Big Ben from his usual 100 yard, 3 TD game????

Dakota vs. Ford II....absurd matchup......Dakota 55, Ford 7.....unless G leaves in his hound dogs....thank goodness for the running clock.....Wings dont look the same to me...no Sammy, Hudler, Kopecky, Hossa, Conklin in the nets and Jimmy Howard looks like a high school goalie to me....Lidstrom looking very ordinary in Sweden games with Blues very scary to me.......wonder if Leyland would be tempted to bring in Verlander tonight to close out 8th and 9th innings if Tigs have lead????? Hi posters...was going to CoPa tonight but wife says "way too cold" and she aint gonna sit in a freezebox....oh well....67 Tigers season, the mystery meat that year was how Denny McLain had that mysterious foot injury (he dropped a garbage can on his foot), yeah and Vernor's was giving away free Stroh's that year too......had he made his contribution Tigs might have won it all....Dick McAuliffe the heart and soul of that team that year....great guy.....
Phily, yeah I like Killian's too but can we talk about beer on this forum much???? And no I do not condone teenage drinking at all....mentioning Denny McLain, rumor was he flew his plane to the 1969 all star baseball game at Washington that year with Mickey Lolich....after the game McLain took off and left Lolich stranded!!!! Best catholic team of all time - might have been the late 50s, early 60s St. Ambrose teams coached by Tom Boisture....I have heard many tales about those teams....Denby was supposed to have been real good in those days too.....way too far back for me to remember....Can DLS upset CC in FB next week????
Who wants to comment on that big question......mum's the word for me right now....YAE will get angry if I give him my opinion.......guy at work told me that the toughest decision going around in 1966 was what was the hotter car - the 66 GTO or the 66 Chevelle SS 396???? Give me either one.....what about a 64 Corvair???? Word is that the Pittsburg Pirates expect to contend in the national league by the year 2089.......they have had more managers in the last 15 years or so than the Lions have had coaches.....

Well, well, well, we are 3 weeks into the season and nobody has made mention of GP North's Tommy Watkins. So here goes....
Game 1 vs. IKE 24 carries and 137 yards
Game 2 vs. LC North 37 carries and 202 yards, 1 TD
Game 3 vs. Utica 33 carries and 269 yards, 5 TD's (tying a GP North all time record)
Last year, TJ missed part of a game and another whole game ( both GP North losses) and rushed for 800 yards as a Full Back.
Keep an eye out for this young man. Kinda reminds me of Cam Cecchini.
That's all I have off to Grand Valley State to see bigGPN, now at 228#. Looks like I'm gonna lose the bet on who gets to 230 first.

Hi posters, holy smokes somehow you cant win....DVI has been firing grenades at me for a long time and now Carl Thomas has been chewing on dynamite and fuses thrown in my direction...thanks Carl for the info on Sterling Hts and the senior center....have never been there but have gone to the Sterling Fest for the festivals over the years...good times for free.....I used to like Blossom Heath park in the Shores before it became a septic tank....(maybe the guru Esler, the PR Director can do something about it....,problem is he is too busy running his BB camps and going over to DLS.....Granholm could not make a decision to drink water if she was thirsty, so what can you do???
Ft.Baller67, Smith the DC at Ike is a gem....has been...it is hard to beat Ike by scoring a lot of points on them....just wont happen......that has been Chip's problem for years, they score a lot and give up more....a bad formula for success......actually Fraser Fred Buster is up for adoption....he is nasty, snarly, hisses and will attack anyone he does not know very well.....he has rumbled squirrels, rabbits and a couple of coons....won every battle....maybe he should be a linebacker for South Lake....
Problem is he eats too much and is fatter than hell....bad combination....sleeps on our bed like a guard and dont pull the sheets from underneath him or he will growl and be mad as hell.......Carl Thomas I have seen the hungry on TV looking into dumpsters for food so I dont think you comments are funny at all....even repulsive.....
Best list: Gillette shaving cream, Fusion blades, wow cable by a mile, 7 bars of Ivory Soap at the dollar store for about $3 bucks or so, shower spray there for one buck a bottle, Dairy Queen Peanut Buster parfait, Nino's, Big Boy classic burger with rings and a coke...love it!!!, SA summer ale, (can I mention alcohol on this forum??), Killian's, watching the guru's antics at any BB game...absolutely hilarious at times.....any MAC RED game, Ike Basketball, best BA field: tie, GP North, South and Utica.....well groomed all.....worst S.Lake, Ford II, most foul territory - Clintondale.....coolest small car around:

The book I was referring to was "The Not so glorious days of the WHA"... found it in my basement with my "California Golden Seals" pennant........Also have a "Kansas City Scouts" pennant from Olympia in the early 70s......false reports: no, 20000 people will not be at the Dakota/Stevenson game...only 19,245 by last count..in that book, Bobby Hull was owed over $200,000 by the Winnipeg Jets, word is he will get paid in the year 2089 by the ancestors of the WHA.....at old Crosley Field in Cincinnatti the Reds had a distintive steep incline to the walls all around the field.....a "goat hill" which raised to about 12 ft or so to the wall.....in the 61 WS with the Yankees Yogi Berra could not play left field because he kept falling running up and down that goat hill.......word was they considered doing that at Ford II High School - just in left field only - several years ago when they redid the entire field but changed their mind at the last minute.....whatever happened to stirrups and striped socks in baseball????
Best looking major league unis of all time - Milwaukee Braves - with the tomahawk emblem and the red, white and blue striped socks, and the Indian head logo on the left sleeve....baggy pants too.....ugliest ever - yellow and brown slop the SD Padres had for years......best looking NHL unis of all time - Quebec Nordiques with the French fleur-de-lis all over.......the royal symbol of French nobility......plus the Nordiques were the forerunners of the Red Wings with that blazing speed and puck control game.....said my piece......prediction: Bondo and Zumaya may be eternal flashes in the pan.....later, Tom and peace to all........

Tigers take the first 2 & pitching has been outstanding even in this tough stretch following the All Star break. The hitting will continue to come around. Tom 7-0 & 14-10 are hardly "whoopins" looks like some close games to me. No one at DLS accuses the RED of "ducking". The MAC can't get through it's own red tape & bureaucracy to even schedule a regular season game outside its own league. That’s not the fault of the coaches. I am sure G or Bye would love a shot at DLS early in the season & use that game as barometer before they go through murders row over there in that league. Saying Brother Rice is the favorite...Kinda like saying the Yankees are the team to beat this year. DLS doesn’t mind taking the back seat. Give Brother Rice all the pub & pressure. Fine by me!

Hi posters, all quiet lately it seems around the Clanton Ranch...Wyatt Earp aint showed up yet....wow, the news, the news, first of all Obama screwed up saying the cops in Mass harassed the professor...the great majority of police forces today are doing a good job, but they all have failed to weed out the dirty harry's that remain here and there in most departments....everyone in Detroit PSL has to reapply for their jobs...that is one hell of a good idea....that system has been a septic tank for too long to even count....supers came and went like people entering a turnstile it seemed....everyone of them proved incompetent and in some cases downright thieves....a state takeover was totally necessary in my mind....transfers, recruitments,.....heck I thought a transfer was something you used on a DSR bus to go in another direction....does it seems like to you Detroit PSL FB and BB players transfer at a whim...anytime they like??? The MHSAA used to have an iron clad policy on "transfers"....seems like the Det PSL didnt read the book.....if there is anything I wish for badly, it would be that a MAC RED team winds up playing DLS in a FB playoff game this fall...then we could stop all this whining about how the MAC "ducks" DLS....I dont think there is one coach in the MAC RED who is afraid of DLS and I think they would relish the thought of a game with them....I saw DLS get whumped by Sterling Hts a few years ago and to Stevenson in a playoff game about ten years ago.....it all depends on how MHSAA puts DLS in the playoffs (if they make it) this year...unless they play Div 1 we will not get that game. Word is Rice is the team to beat in the CHSL this year from what I am hearing.....
CC is supposed to be a lot tougher too??? I am sure a Dakota/DLS game at Dakota would overfill Dakota's big stadium.....Tigers: clearly a team in deep trouble...they are in first place trying to play catch up....Chicago in my mind to win 3-4 in this series.....we will see....going down sunday night..got tickets from a neighbor....8 oclock game....later, Tom and peaced to all.....

Hi posters, Wings come alive last night....Pengies are going to get their a.....kicked before it is all over...Crosby looks invisible to tight checking....Kronwall and Lidstrom against Malkin and Crosby....no problems.
Wings parade this time should go up Woodward from Hart Plaza to an open Comerica Park to fit the huge crowds and Illitch can sell a ton of concessions and wave the Stanley Cup around like a flag....Fraser Fred, Stevenson demolished the competition at the Chip District smoking Fraser 13-0 and Chip 14-6....they hit 5 home runs in the process and have perhaps the best catcher in the MAC in Andreychuck....
DLS has been stumbling and only a miracle saved them from going out in the first game to Cousino being down 5 runs in the seventh....then they struggled with a so-so Royal Oak team.....which DLS team will show up sat against Stevenson??? Hard to say what will happen there......
Stevenson definitely can win and Joe E. will not be outmanaged by no means....this game could be a toss up.....
Still cant find out what Roches Adams did....the Det News has cut way down on BA coverage this year.....Markowski apparently doesnt care much for BA anyhow....he is a FB and BB man only in my opinion.....watch out for GP South to advance....Greeser has that team on another planet right now and they have so much BA tradition at South....could be a real dark horse to get to BC......watch out for Lakeshore in Div 2.....this might be their year.....saw Ike at Utica last sat and their pitching is a real concern and why was their big star constantly complaining about everything under the sun to Blue???? Lucky he wasnt tossed about 6 times....but they can hit the ball like nobody's business.....may not have enough pitching in the tank to go far though....just an observation.......
Tigers are doing good but Minny still has Mauer, Morneau and Cuddyer and Punto.....dont be surprised to see them win AL Central still......Wings will prob split in Pitts...then come home and wrap it up.....fine with me....

tommy,does joe E have a pitcher who can shut down the pilots high octane offense???........royal oak and cousino put a real scare into the pilots last week and i think SHS is better than both those teams???.......pilots will play DC on tues but not at comerica.........wonder if BK cares that he cant set foot on the diamond where the big leaguers play??...i sure would.......wonder if DVI is mad about his team not playing at comerica???.........all 6 big cats in the CHSL still alive...wonder how many will win regionals????........tigers looking good up to june....lets see how they play boston........tigers division as weak as water....if trhey cant come out of that division,shame on them....you really have to like edwin jackson......dombo stole that guy from tampa bay IMO!!!!!
