Poor poor Sarah

Refractometer,

You are enjoying yourself more on the forums ! Great ! What prompted the 'new you'?

"Do I have nice things to say about Palin? No. But I don't call her names, other than "plain"." (end) You probably read Drew's comments on her new book, 'Choosing Rouge'. I laughed out loud (very loud) when I first read Drew's title and I have enjoyed a laugh each time I think of it. BTW, I still support her as a welcome and viable candidate for election. Would you consider making a contribution to her SarahPAC organization? All donations, gratefully received.

I am glad you are having fun and look forward to reading any comments you offer on this forum.

Best to you,

Dillon

A long time ago and far, far away...

S.G.

I enjoyed your 25 word response. Thanx. It occurred to me that most non-believers speak mostly about what is incorrect which believers believe, or you affirm that you REALLY do not know for sure what believers say they know.

We believers are usually more then pleased to tell anyone what we believe and, for that matter, what others SHOULD believe. (goes with the territory, don't you know.)

So, anyway, it occurred to me that while you and others may not be satisfied that correct answers can be known for certain; you certainly have opinions and educated assumptions drawn from your intense study invested in topics which you are interested in.

I wrote to Drew: 'it occurred to me that I do not know what your sincere conclusions are with respect to your views of or understandings about god.'

'When all of the discussions and explanations are put aside and you are alone with your thoughts; what DO YOU THINK and conclude about a creator or initial source? How might you finish this statement? "I cannot prove this concerning god but I conclude it is true and very important; God.........." (Fri. 11/20/09 11:12 AM ) end quote.

If you would offer your thoughts, I would be pleased and honored to know what you conclude. If you would be more comfortable with stating the question differently or in your terms or interest â€" please do. People such as yourself and Drew and MacBadger (and there are many others on this forum. No slight is intended at all) have developed a serious, disciplined approach to the art of knowing and concluding. There may be areas where you realize that while you do not know the answer for sure, it appears that ...... is probably the way it will turn out to be. Etc. etc.

Thank you for considering this. I have zero interest in judging what you write or challenging it. If we are honest, I am certain your measured thoughts will allow for questions to be asked and interesting thoughts to be shared.

This is an open offer to all of us on the forum. If this is of interest to you, please participate. Elroy shared his thoughts and we enjoyed every word.

Poor poor Sarah

Refractometer,

It was simply my lame way of saying, Hi ! :) I had not heard much from you on this forum. Your barbs have been as acid tipped as ever on the news forum. (the posts which I have read. you have probably been a saint lately and I just haven't read your latest posts.

Your confession of your "xperience the inner peace" is indeed heart warming. I live at peace and enjoy it immensely. 'To each his own'.

How is your conditioning coming along? I sincerely respect discipline and from what you shared about your routines, you are seriously disciplined.

To Peace,

The Christians? Hoot and Dillon

Christian,

If what you write reveals your actual thoughts and feelings then the anger which you embrace concerning disabilities is the biggest disability you are encountering.

My immediate response to your words to me is a desire to take you in my arms and hold you and hug you and comfort you. You are a loving person. You are worthy to be loved. You are loved by many of us. There is no way for us to be loving toward you when you keep building walls to isolate you from the pain in life by exuding misplaced venom and anger.

I do love you, Christian. I also have challenges to confront in my life. I will not take responsibility for the challenges which you face in your life as I do not take responsibility for the challenges in my life. I give the 'care' of my problems to my Lord Jesus and I take up the 'victory' he has provided for all of us. We are not asked to carry our own burdens. We are asked to give them up to him. He promised to every one who trusts him that he will be with us always.

Jesus explained that in this world we believers will always have troubles to confront (as does everyone). He tells us to be comforted because he has overcome the (troubles of the) world. He has told us that the troubles which the world can throw at you and me are common to all humans. He will not allow the troubles placed on us to be more than we can handle and defeat through him. He has and will again defeat any trouble which attacks you or me. It is the 'armor of God' which we use to fight the vile and evil realities of this world. The Word of God in his heart and on his lips is what Jesus used to live each day and to defeat his challenges. The Word of God is what he offers to us for the successful defeat of the challenges in our life. This is not easy. It is true. It is also much easier than trying to do it yourself. "Come to me, all you who are tired and heavy laden. I will make you rested." "My yoke is easy. My burden is light."

If we are 'yoked with him and carrying his burden', we are not 'fighting everything by ourselves alone'. The two cannot exist together. If you are dealing with your challenges 'your way' then you have taken them back from him and his help is not being used by you. Cast all of your cares on Him and as you are led by him he will care for you.

Know that I do Love you, Christian. How may I help you?

Sincerely,

Dillon

Drew: God and your conclusions.........

Drew,

That is fine with me. I was not expecting to hear from you until Mon. or Tues. at the earliest. Remember now, you are to explain the origins and meaning of existence and life in 25 words or less.

Poor poor Sarah

Christian,

You are not showing your famous 'Love' my man. I grew up with a lisp and have always been able to enjoy the challenges it provided. I do not wear my feelings on my shirt sleve. Life ain't equal. Life ain't fair. Life is to be enjoyed.

Stand up. . . . take a BOW. . . . and let those chips,/b> fall off of your shoulders. If your family has some members who have disabilities then be glad you have them. Some couples cannot have children to love and learn from.

Drew: God and your conclusions.........

Drew,

I look forward to your approach and perceptions. Please do not let the verbage which I used in the question get in the way. Select the question anyway that you find comfortable. I am most interested in your thoughts and ways of viewing what you find important.

Thanx,

Dillon

Refractometer,

Hey, the time and money which you invested in that "Charm School Training" has really begun to pay off. I hardly recognized it was you offering those 'pithy'* remarks :)

Drew: God and your conclusions.........

Drew,

I have been having an interesting discussion 'off forum' about individual views concerning god. It occurred to me that I do not know what you personally conclude about God. You have expressed some of the aspects of 'god' that you do not agree with so I understand your conclusions on those aspects. But, it occurred to me that I do not know what your sincere conclusions are with respect to your views of or understandings about god.

When all of the discussions and explanations are put aside and you are alone with your thoughts; what DO YOU THINK and conclude about a creator or initial source? How might you finish this statement? "I cannot prove this concerning god but I conclude it is true and very important; God.........."

Obviously if this is not of interest to you then I respect your privacy. No offense meant, at all.

I also invite and ask anyone else on the forum to share your thoughts with us: I have no interest in judging your thoughts. I am interested in knowing them and hopefully having an understanding of them.

"I cannot prove this concerning god but I conclude it is true and very important; God.........."

Teresa,

Thank you for the information. Regardless of whether or not the author Walid Shoebat is correct in his opinions; it is my opinion that when I am with the Lord I will find out that the Bible is and has been for believers a very clear and accurate revealing of our Lord and his purpose.

Your description of the book makes it sound quite detailed.

Blessings to You,

Dillon

The Prayer Closet

Elder Walker,

I am trying to follow you; however, I am having some difficulty putting together your messages. We agree that it is good for Christian believers to pray for the elected servants of our Country. We were speaking specifically about praying for our President Barack Obama. (which prayer we both agree is a responsibility of ours as believers)

In what way do you, as a believer, pray for a President or any elected public servant who is leading and directing our Country on a course which you feel does not fulfill his or her responsibilities? Surely in your lifetime there have been Presidents whose decisions and actions you did not agree with.

You wrote to me: "prayer For all our public servants weather they are Good, flaky or bad for their success because in the word said in many places it does affect us and just maybe we can get a few more to pray unselfishly, God will hear and heal the land."

How would Elder Walker "pray as the bible said and without feeling or opinions" if Elder Walker viewed the success of the President's efforts would be harmful for every citizen?

Threading in forums

We are working on adding threading to the forums. Clicking on the headline of a post will now get you related posts in a few different ways.

- If the post was sent to us in response to an article, clicking on that post's headline will retrieve all comments on that article, and clicking on the "See related article" link will send you to the article itself.

- If the comment was submitted in response to a cybersurvey, clicking on the headline will take you to the cybersurvey and its related comments.

- If you click on the headline of a forum post that was simply posted in the forum, you will get all posts with that same headline.

If you want to add a comment to a thread in the forum, use the same headline as the post to which you want to respond.
