I rest my case. Drew, I'm sure that's the most arrogant statement I've seen from you, or anyone else in this forum. How do you expect to be taken seriously making statements like that?

Right on, MacB.!

Of course, those who don't think always THINK they do...and sneer at those who really DO think.

It's amazing that attempts to think---especially to think critically and apply basic logic and reason (however imperfectly)---is derided by the non-thinkers as elitism, snobbery, arrogance, etc.

Finally, the most extreme and stubborn of the non-thinkers actually insist that ignorance is a virtue and take pride in being ignorant.

Actually, just those of you who claim to be the only ones thinking.

MacBadger,

Have you ever considered Christians to be anything other than mindless dolts, comparable to those who sent sacks of mail asking Marcus Welby for medical advice?

From her: Stevens, of Jonesborough, said nearly every morning, an image that looks to him like the face of Jesus Christ has appeared in the condensation on the driver's side window of his Isuzu truck. end.

I always get a kick out of these accounts. What a leap of, of -- is it faith or some flavor of richly distilled ignorance?

No one knows what Jesus looked like so how can anyone make such a statemet? Answer: A Believer can!!!

It was over thirty years ago that ABC had a TV character named Dr. Marcus Welby. The network used to get sacks of mail addresses to Dr. Welby asking for medical advice. So much of humanity lacks any sort of a baloney detector-- few folks actually THINK. Those who do are accused of being condescending elitists.

Threading in forums

We are working on adding threading to the forums. Clicking on the headline of a post will now get you related posts in a few different ways.

- If the post was sent to us in response to an article, clicking on that post's headline will retrieve all comments on that article, and clicking on the "See related article" link will send you to the article itself.

- If the comment was submitted in response to a cybersurvey, clicking on the headline will take you to the cybersurvey and its related comments.

- If you click on the headline of a forum post that was simply posted in the forum, you will get all posts with that same headline.

If you want to add a comment to a thread in the forum, use the same headline as the post to which you want to respond.

If you find a problem, please tell us, and thanks in advance for your patience as we work to improve the forums for you.
