I believe your right about reading and studying, the whole book of Peter, but wrong in your conclusion, Elder. 1 Peter 2:4 {KJV} state's, 'To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of god, and precious.'

You answered "For it talking about Jesus how came to give life to all men by God the Father but was rejected by those same men." Your answer puts Jesus in the past tense. Peter's quote is in the present tense, 'To whom coming'.

Didn't Jesus also say, 'When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth who comes from the Father, he will testify on my behalf.', in John 15:26. Wouldn't the 'living stone, Helper, Spirit of Truth, be the same person?

Mr. S. Johnston

1 Peter 2:4 (KJV) Said

2. To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of god, and precious.

This should be read From 1 Peter Chp. 2:1-11(KJV)

For it talking about Jesus how came to give life to all men by God the Father but was rejected by those same men.

If there is one I've learned about the Criminal Justice System, is to stay the hell out of the Criminal Justice System!

Seeking a comment on 'the living stone' referred in 1 Peter, in the Bible. What, who, is this person? Anybody willing to comment on this subject?

Threading in forums

We are working on adding threading to the forums. Clicking on the headline of a post will now get you related posts in a few different ways.

- If the post was sent to us in response to an article, clicking on that post's headline will retrieve all comments on that article, and clicking on the "See related article" link will send you to the article itself.

- If the comment was submitted in response to a cybersurvey, clicking on the headline will take you to the cybersurvey and its related comments.

- If you click on the headline of a forum post that was simply posted in the forum, you will get all posts with that same headline.

If you want to add a comment to a thread in the forum, use the same headline as the post to which you want to respond.

If you find a problem, please tell us, and thanks in advance for your patience as we work to improve the forums for you.
