A Politican is a Politican:
Thanks Refractometer... there's a lot of hypocrisy on both sides, and I sense from your post that it frustrates you like it does me. Personally, I hate the hypocrisy on both sides.

So true... I appreciate the dialog, and the opportunity to discuss this openly and honestly with you.

Never said two wrongs make a right. Nor was it my intention. I was merely opining on the hypocrisy of it all. Thank you for your response!

Well, one of us brought up race... and I responded.
"For that why I posted a Politican is a Politican simple because President Obama has not made a year yet and the expectation are so unreasonable."
I think the liberal left is the hardest on him, frankly, expecting him to pass everything personally in the first 100 days... but didn't he bring that on himself, by getting involved in far more than a president should... and acting as if he can do it all himself? My expectations are that he should not make promises he can't or won't keep, and that he do what's best for America... and I think on both he's lacking. In fact, I think he's foolish for trying to do everything so quickly... but he knows he has to act quickly to ram down his ultra-liberal agenda before he loses the votes in congress in 2010.
"And everybody that has disagree with him have been so disrepectful..."
Do you really mean to say everyone? Because that would lead me to believe that in your opinion anyone who disagrees with him is disrespectful.
"...from congressional protocal (I.E South Carolina Rep. Shouting out Lair)..."
Did you object when congress booed Bush?
"...to the news media..."
Frankly, it seems to me the majority of news media can't fall over themselves fast enough to see who can be the most pro-Obama.
"...and I know some Churches that has call him the anti-christ..."
I think that could be dangerous... do you know for a fact that this is happening from the pulpit?
"...and some preaching sermons against him and refusing to pray for him and we know that is against the word of God."
Agreed we should all be praying for him.
"So I ask you A.Sinner are you judging President Obama reasonably or not, Where his race is not the issue but his performance in time and as for my statement: (Obama is President Get over it and trust me I really did'nt want to say White America) For it does grieve me to say that for I know haterd come from within a man and what he look like does not matter."
Well, I can't tell if you're asking me if I'm judging him by his skin color, because you said you weren't raising the question of race... but I will tell you I'm not, to be clear. I will also tell you I believe he was intentionally vague in his campaigning about what "change" meant, and that I believe he did so because he knew his ultra-liberal views would be unpopular... and that I believe the reason he and congress are working so fast is because they know they have a short window to ram down their agenda before what they're actually doing overtakes the public's perception of what they thought they said they were going to do.
"And they were not like me, For think on this, (In order for candidate Obama to win the presidency ? How many Americans put his race aside and voted for him to win by the number he won by)."
That's partly my point... this should have improved racial tensions, yet I don't see that happening on the left. What I see is the very serious word "racism" still being thrown around by the left to the point that it's rendered the word virtually meaningless. It's used by the left to attempt to "win" something rather than to actually identify a serious problem... and now that that tactic has become so overplayed, people simply ignore it where it once had power.
"And as for my statement about the lies that started the Iraq war, I was speaking as an old militray man. For the soldier in the field don't really care about what the reasons are..."
Saying lies started the war sounds a whole lot like caring to me.
(and I don't say this to mock your words, but for me it is also nothing personal, just my viewpoint)

But also know that sometimes we have to speak hashly for those who in that way of thinking. And I heard it said (A black man and the (N-word being use) how could this happen ?
And they were not like me, For think on this, (In order for candidate Obama to win the presidency ? How many Americans put his race aside and voted for him to win by the number he won by).

For the soldier in the field don't really care about what the reasons are, Weather it by aggression or Political, (All we care about) Was let us do what we are trained to do and win and go home)! And we have been in both war zones to long....

Elder Walker, I will say that you have a lot of respect from most people in this forum... however, bringing race into the conversation will be quite a negative... in my opinion, nothing personal.
"Obama is President Get over it,"
Personally, I won't be over it while he's pushing his far-left agenda... and he and his party will find that the majority of those crucial "independent" voters in the center don't like the wares he's selling, either. If you don't believe me, wait until the 2010 elections for proof.
"and it good he look like me Black America"
Here's what I don't understand... I thought Obama's election would help to heal some of the racial tensions in this country... I mean, we elected a black president for the first time... isn't that a positive? Instead, it seems that nothing is changed, and the liberal left keeps bring race into the conversation as if anyone who doesn't support Obama is a racist... that's offensive to me.
"but He is a Politican and He is doing so far what White Politican have done for years,"
Mostly Jimmy Carter comes to mind, with a dash of Al Capone.
"Tell if you can what Past or Current President that have made promises and it did'nt happen as fast as we think it should or they did not deliver at all ?"
He needs to make good on the promises he can directly control... like not hiring lobbyists, or giving the public 5 days to see bills online before he signs them, or having open, televised meetings for health-care reform, or having an accelerated timetable for pulling the troops out of Iraq... and he shouldn't make promises that no president can keep, like saying he will make it impossible for congress to slip pork-barrel projects into legislation, or that meetings where laws will be written will be more open, or he will review each budget bill line by line. These are all things he said to give the impression of integrity, yet has failed or will fail to follow through.

"And Let me ask those who are so hard on our President, When was the last time you made a promise and could'nt deliver for whatever the reason (DOES THAT MAKE YOU A LIAR ALSO)."
Depends... I say when you make promises that you know you can't keep... or promises you can keep but don't without a valid reason for changing your mind, that makes you a liar.
"And please remember it was lies that started the Iraq war and the mess on wall street and where was the outcry ?"
You know the Iraq war is really amazing example of how fast the Democrats turned on Bush for political gain. Maybe we all have short memories, but it was conventional wisdom that Hussein had "weapons of mass destruction" during the Clinton administration... but somehow when Bush said it months later, it was supposedly a lie... and despite congress' backing of Bush on that issue. As soon as it was discovered the weapons may not have been there, the Democrats milked it, and the dishonesty of it all made me sick. Does anyone remember these quotes?
"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program." -William J. Clinton
"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line." -William J. Clinton
"The community of nations may see more and more of the very kind of threat Iraq poses now: a rogue state with weapons of mass destruction, ready to use them or provide them to terrorists. If we fail to respond today, Saddam and all those who would follow in his footsteps will be emboldened tomorrow." -William J. Clinton
"Hussein has chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass destruction and palaces for his cronies." -Madeleine Albright
"Iraq is a long way from the U.S., but what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face." -Madeleine Albright
"Saddam's goal is to achieve the lifting of U.N. sanctions while retaining and enhancing Iraq's weapons of mass destruction programs. We cannot, we must not and we will not let him succeed." -Madeleine Albright
"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force if necessary to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security." -John F. Kerry
"Saying there are weapons of mass destruction in iraq doesn't make it so." -John F. Kerry
"Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power." -Al Gore
"During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet." -Al Gore
[Looking at busts of George Washington and Ben Franklin at Monticello] "Who are these people?" -Al Gore
"There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years. We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction." -Jay Rockefeller
"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process." -Nancy Pelosi
"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction." -Edward Kennedy
"We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and a threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the mandated of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass destruction and the means of delivering them." -Carl Levin
Just a viewpoint... nothing personal.
