8 and Elder
Macbadger:
Please be more clear on where in the book of Matthew that you are looking at and maybe I can help, And answer your questions and also let me said this to, By your posting you feel you are not getting a fair and reasonable treatment by the justice system well let me be the first to tell you.
There example of this in the bible, one is the story of Joesph and Potifer Wife and the other is very familiar the story of Daniel in the lion den and there were false accusation and lieing and decieving going on. And let not forget if you save, The bible said this will happen to.
LOVE TO HELP IF I CAN:

Verses assuring defense of the accused.
From MacBadger, RE: 8's Wed, 2:52 P
The book pages are hard to read and I can't copy to paper meaning my response to them will be slowed.
I did, though, take my copy of The Quest Study Bible and check some of your verses. Acts 25:16 is the strongest I see in your favor, but it refers to Roman law which I had earlier believed was the source of accused facing his accusers. I'm glad to see it confirmed in print.
Exodus 23 offers sage advice, but I still look at your verses as were I the accused in the deepest dungeon waiting trial and ask myself, "How is what I read in Ex 23 going to help me mount a defense against the charges of the state?"
Exodus 23 offers sage advice based on the most noble of motives, but folks can violate them at will, appearing in court and accuse me of robbing the local 7-11 and mooning the customers at point-blank range. Nothing there says the state will call and compel witnesses to testify in my defense neither will it take action against those who testify falsely -- as it did in the instance of Detroit's mayor.
How do the Exodus verses help the accused mount a defense?
I enjoyed Matt 5-7 due to the presence of so many familiar lines..... the narrow gait, love your enemies, lust in the heart, serving 2 masters and importance of fruit, good and otherwise. But I found nothing there about self-incrimination as you prepated me for. I may have missed it. Help.
How does Mat 5-7 help the accused offer a defense against charges by the state?
