The New Opel Corsa

I'm sorry did you say something gmzip? Because it's all just your emotional hogwash anyhow.

The Ford Joke

former engineer,

I'm amazed you can even tie your shoe.

You say some of the most dumbest things ever.

Rootvg it's your act that is stale, you throw out the EXACT same rants over and over. I don't care that you have a opinion, but to call UAW members uneducated, dumb, etc.. shows me what little intelligence you have. Which makes your comments a mute point.

UAW members are not told what to say, they're sticking up for their right to work at a decent wage, you come into this auto forum just to poison it and cause trouble as do the rest that are YES JEALOUS that some have a good paying job that didn't have to goto college. Why care? Why care so much about it is my question? You apparently don't buy any of the Det3 cars anyhow. And with you rootvg it's always "I heard from this friend or I read this" you live on the West coast where things are bad, and you're preaching to the midwest states? As for Denver, gmzip and the rest, you got screwed over, so you blame the UAW it's all you have anymore. I'd love to come out here and talk cars, but to see blatant attacks daily by the same few is just annoying when you have NO FACTS to back any of your claims ever.

rootvg is a joke. Why don't you stick to the Arkon Beacon journal, you troll well there, or better yet just hang out at Danville weekly site and bug someone there.

Arnold,

The only reason you're attacking the UAW is you got the 'sacking' from GM and you're crying since you feel it was the fault of the UAW for not giving up more so you could hang on to GM's cash cow. Go find another job like all your anti-UAW buddies always tell the UAW workers.

Your ship has sunk, blame the company that didn't think much of you in the first place.

Unskilled Auto Workers have no future

No it's the typical "attack the working class" mentality out here with you guys.

So no, I will not give it a rest. Why don't you give it a rest and quit regurgitating the same old nonesense over and over.

Unskilled Auto Workers have no future

Mike from pasadena, you're a real loser aren't ya?

Respect

gmzip says

"After outlining what GM has done to it's salaried retirees he summed it all up by saying "And I know that I'm not contributing $1,800.00 to the UAW "Cadillac" benefits"."

It's always the UAW faults for your woes isn't it? Be nice if you actually had the intelligence to stand back and look outside the box and see who really are the ones that screwed you over. UAW is just protected for the time being, if there was no UAW they'd have screwed them as well and made bigger bonuses yet for themselves.

Your mentality is "Well if they would have stuck it to the union members I wouldn't have gotten screwed over." All about me me me there isn't it gmzip? You never gave anything up voluntarily, it was taken and you had no type protection from it, this jealousy you posses towards the UAW is really sick. The UAW voluntarily gave stuff up by voting on it didn't they? Fords UAW voted no this time around, how about that for having some say in your employment vs what you salary had? I keep hearing how the UAW is a bunch of dumb thugs, etc... funny though they still have a good pension and benefits, so I ask you who is the dummy?

buh bye now.

Respect

"Well, you just lost the respect of this MEA member."

tacobravo, East Detroit, mi

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First of all, the UAW isn't taking ANYTHING! Secondly, you've lost the respect of UAW members for your ignorance for posting about something before you check facts.

JBobs 999

"Your comments reflect a complete lack of understanding about what is going on in the GLOBAL automotive industry!! Effective auto ceo's are , indeed, very very difficult to find (just ask Gm and Chrysler!!); The Ford Ceo must be doing a decent job guiding the company in the right direction balancing demand vs. capacity and instilling effective quality standards in these trying times and should be rewarded accordingly; For the average UAW worker to bemoan the fact they had to give up a 3% and then a 4% lump sum pay increase is plain insane!! IT IS THE SIGN OF THE TIMES!!! Your industry has to get costs more in line with the rest of the GLOBAL auto industry; it is relatively painless for you give up lump sum payments when your base pay has been left unchanged (not many laborers in other industries --if any-- can say the same!!!)"

pistonfan forever, plymouth, mi

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

But there you are saying we have to get costs in line with the rest of the GLOBAL auto industry, you said it best, and while you're at it look up the top executives at Toyota and other foreign GLOBAL auto industries VS the American car companies.

RE: rootvg

"Even if it was true, you couldn't do anything about it and no one would even care. I still get to live my life and do the things I want and you still get to complain like some dried up old man who's all bitter at the way life treated him."

You need a hobby.

rootvg, Danville, CA

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You're wrong there rootvg, we still live the life we want and do the things we want to do as well making a good wage at the Det3. Bummer for you now isn't it? And you know something else? There is nothing you can do about it but cry some more.

My future negotiations

"My future negotiations, next time I'm ready to buy a new car, are going to take place in the showroom of a brand selling "transplant" vehicles assembled in America by non-UAW workers."

Tommy Jax, Jacksonville, FL

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cool, and don't let the door hit you in the behind either. We don't need your business if that's your attitude.

uaw- ford

"getting ready to buy new car. was going to buy ford to support USA and michigan. Won't now, another lexus will be sold."

calyooper, bakersfield, ca

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

With a mentality like you own we wouldn't want you to buy a Ford either.

Your "we'll show those UAW workers" mentality is just stupid.

basepaul, no it's you that are just so pathetic.

Ford Vote

Jim, the Ford UAW workers didn't DEMAND anything. They simply voted NO on a no strike clause. Quit spinning it.

Had they voted yes, you and others would be in here "You sold out the new hires who wages are frozen now thru 2015"

What conessions would Ford had gotten with a yes vote that would save them more money, oh please do post. The team concept? It's already implemented. Using workers where needed? It's already implemented. Please enlighten us where they would have saved money besides freezing new hire wages thru 2015? The no strike clause surely isn't saving them money, so please tell us in your great wisdom what oh what would make them more in line with the foreign competition and the other Detroit car makers? OH THAT'S RIGHT! EXECUTIVE PAY SCALE!

Really I don't mind that they are making what they make, but to bash the floor workers whom get NO overtime, gave up cost of living wages, bonuses, and some holiday days off, as the bad apples is just laughable.
