"Your comments reflect a complete lack of understanding about what is going on in the GLOBAL automotive industry!! Effective auto ceo's are , indeed, very very difficult to find (just ask Gm and Chrysler!!); The Ford Ceo must be doing a decent job guiding the company in the right direction balancing demand vs. capacity and instilling effective quality standards in these trying times and should be rewarded accordingly; For the average UAW worker to bemoan the fact they had to give up a 3% and then a 4% lump sum pay increase is plain insane!! IT IS THE SIGN OF THE TIMES!!! Your industry has to get costs more in line with the rest of the GLOBAL auto industry; it is relatively painless for you give up lump sum payments when your base pay has been left unchanged (not many laborers in other industries --if any-- can say the same!!!)"

But there you are saying we have to get costs in line with the rest of the GLOBAL auto industry, you said it best, and while you're at it look up the top executives at Toyota and other foreign GLOBAL auto industries VS the American car companies.
