Chargers (6-3) at Broncos (6-3): The seasons have turned around since the Broncos beat the Chargers, 34-23. Since the game, the Chargers have won four straight. The Broncos have had a bye and three losses.
Line: Broncos by 3
Pick: Chargers
Not me!
I'm glad he misprinted this, it actualy is
11/22 4:15 ET San Diego -4 At Denver
So in the spirit of disagreeing with mike o . I say
Pick Broncos
Lions need CRIS EDWARDS!!!
Good Morning Vietnam! How was your weekend ? Even Though I wanted the Colts to win by more than 3 . I feel refs are Colts fans .
Remember we talked about replacing a (Stan K) "coordinator" mid season ? Well I say, Vince Young!
Why would I say that . I'm trying to avoid saying Scott Linehan , the Rams won the next 2 games after he was fired .
Vince Young is a boast that , that team desperately needed .
Defence for Stan K , even IF he was fired today what is the worst that could happen ?.. The special teams would be bad?
They already are .
oops he did it again Nick Harris I counted 3
punts yesterday under 30 yards . I don't care what anyone says . Harris should definitely not be in the NFL .
Harris had seven punts yesterday for 39.4 net average. Part of the issue is they're asking Harris and Hanson to do more directional kicking to help out shaky coverage units, which actually didn't have any issues Sunday for a change.
Changing QBs when you have an option -- though I don't think Young is the reason for their turnaround, for what it's worth -- is far different than firing a coordinator, if that's what you're saying. As for Linehan, again, that was my point: If you've got somebody on a staff ready to take over for a fired assistant (or head) coach, then I think it's do-able, even if its mostly just for show. But if not, then it's just doing more harm than good.
The problem with special teams has more to do with this simple fact: Special teams units generally rely a great deal on players who aren't starters, and on a 1-8 team that's had a lot of injuries and a ton of turnover, that means you're relying on some marginal, and often new, players.
Game Locks week 10
Two years ago this would have been the game of the week .
Brady vs Manning . Hard to believe Indy is doing so well without Dungy , but I definitely not sold on the Pats just yet . Colts make the spread . Pick colts -3
What is it with the odds makers and the bills . I mean I know Vince Young is back, and I realise its in Nashville
...but 6.5 Pick Buffalo +6.5
War of the Oranges: GAME OF THE WEEK
I know, your saying "nobody cares about this game"
Buccaneer QB Josh Freeman is one of five candidates to be named the NFL Rookie of the Week for Week Nine Did someone say disrespect? Oh , ya it was me...
Pick Bucs +10
Stan Kwan
Do you think the Lions mistook him for MOJO JOJO ?
Gonna try to get in here and catch up on the questions Wed. night, folks. Provided the sickness in my household permits: Wife and kids all fighting flu/strep/??? -- me and the family dog are the lone survivors at this point. Thanks for your patience.
Schwartz and the losing culture!
If it was me Stan Kwan would be fired today . He should have been fired @the Chicago game . I guess you could ague and say he should have been fired with the whole Marinelli administration . This is one of my 50 reasons the Millen Jrs
And so if you with the rest of us are Lion fans ya just have to accept Fords commitment to failure .
Here's some Qs
1) worst secondary in the league right? Why is there 3 QBs
on the active roster? Mr Niyo even said "Nick Harris can sling the ball"
2) Can't Hanson coach STs?
Doesn't do a 1-7 team any good to fire a coordinator in midseason. You make a move in the offseason and start fresh next season. Same holds true for a head coach, a la Jim Zorn in Washington. Only turns a bad situation into a worse one otherwise.
week 9 Locks
We are halfway there . Two weeks away from hosting Green Bay
I'm taking the under(30,000) .
This year Arizona has been King of the Road . Ya can them in Glendale , tough to beat on the road ,
Pick Arizona over Bears
2008 Lions are better than the 2009 Rams
Remember this question ?
Locks week 8
SF vs IND I'm taking niners +12
I don't have any reason . Except I think 2 playoff teams will come out of the west .
Awaking the sleeping Giant . A loss to the Cardinals in New Jersey I believe will revive this team I taking NY over Phil .
THE GAME OF THE WEEK
Brett Favre going to Lambeau . I think he will leave a happy man . Pick Vikings .
I picked SF and NYG as well, esp. with Westbrook hurt again.
I went with GB only because I think the Vikes might be getting a little tired/banged up (Winfield loss hurts vs. Packers WRs) and in need of their bye next week. But if they can't hold off that pass rush, you might be right.
Nick Harris
If Detroit needs a punter , this guy is a (Favre) of punters

I'm telling you, Harris can throw the ball a little bit. If they ever run another fake, watch out. On a completely unrelated note, the Packers defender drew a $7,500 fine for a horse collar on Aaron Brown on that failed fake punt, meaning they missed the call and it should've been an automatic first down. Not that it would've mattered in the end, most likely. Just sayin'.
Week 7 Locks
I have a horrible record against(or with) NFC East teams.
But I can't help myself . I really like Kurt Warner against his old team . Or better yet ; against Eli (the punk)Manning
The guy that took Kurts job. Arizona +7
The wildcat is working Great for the Phins . I not a believer in this Saint D Miami +6.5
Them Bills worked great for me last week . And still they get no respect . Carolinas season is over
Buffalo +7
Jints secondary got exposed a little bit last week, so not a terrible idea, but Boldin's hurt and Cardinals don't travel East very well (unless they're facing Jake Delhomme in January).
Definitely a letdown week for the Saints, but Brees has something special going there, both as a QB and as a leader. Trent Edwards might leave you woozy on the last one.
Stan Kwan
I'm sorry .. should I have posted my question @Ask the Child Psychologist ?
2008 Lions are better than the 2009 Rams
Deagle and J.Davis
When you say someones franchise is better than someone else's franchise the only thing one can compare to is historical records . In other words , just because the Bengals currently have a better record than the Steelers .
They certainly are NOT a better franchise .
What's the past have to do with 2009?
Deagle - Did you read the previous entry?
Do you know what a franchise is ?
Who could be worse than the 2008 Lions?
J.Davis says 2009 St.Louis Rams with their 0-5 record and their awful excuse for a franchise. This team is an absolute mess, way worse than the 2008 Lions EVER thought of being. WHAT???
Here is my question . JDavis did you drop your crack pipe?
the St.Louis Rams have been to the SB twice in this decade . Although the Lions are showing signs; they are a far cry to being compared to any NFL franchise .
So here's a little tip for ya . Don't compare franchises with a team who has NEVER been there .
Lock of the week
Stay away from all teams with 1 or less wins . (I know there's no "s")
Buffalo is getting 9 points while in New Jersy . Here's my question . What is old Jersy ? Take 9 save time .
I don't like anyother games . Denver +6.5 sounds good but. I think this week Denver is going to come down to reality
.
GAME OF THE WEEK:
Without question Giants 5-0 @Nawlins4-0 Saints are faverd
If someone put a gun to my head . I would take Giants on the Money line . Don't bet the farm .
I have that same sneaky feeling about the Broncos coming back to Earth as well. We'll see.
