Ugly Loss

Hey John, after this game, is it safe to say the Lions are the WORST team in the NFL? I mean 10-2 at halftime? and the sad thing was that I knew this was coming. What a pathetic and embarrasing display today after a 2 week bye. I don't want to hear excuses that Calvin did not play. Do u think it really would have made a difference. Realistically? Do u realize that no wide receiver had a reception until the 3rd or 4th quarter. It looked like Kevin Smith and Maurice Morris against the entire Rams team. Where were Northcutt and Bryant Johnson, taking the week off? I also knew that Steven Jackson would run wild against this pathetic defense, and John, we've seen this more times than not. A team can look so bad, but when they face the Lions they get healthy again, it's amazing. I believe this team will continue to regress.

If they continue to regress, I'd be mildly surprised. But no question, that was an embarrassing loss. Especially considering the way guys like Northcutt and B. Johnson played. It sounds like an excuse re: Calvin, yet this game was won by a team relying on its one true offensive star against a team that was missing its one true offensive star. Take Jackson out of the Rams lineup and I'd guarantee you the Lions win that game. Pathetic, but true.

Threading in forums

We are working on adding threading to the forums. Clicking on the headline of a post will now get you related posts in a few different ways.

- If the post was sent to us in response to an article, clicking on that post's headline will retrieve all comments on that article, and clicking on the "See related article" link will send you to the article itself.

- If the comment was submitted in response to a cybersurvey, clicking on the headline will take you to the cybersurvey and its related comments.

- If you click on the headline of a forum post that was simply posted in the forum, you will get all posts with that same headline.

If you want to add a comment to a thread in the forum, use the same headline as the post to which you want to respond.
