Eaves out
As we thought, the mystery injury belongs to Patrick Eaves. He will be scratched tonight and Kirk Maltby will play on the fourth line with Justin Abdelkader and Brad May. Drew Miller will take Eaves' spot on the third line with Darren Helm and Kris Draper.
Mike Babcock hinted at the change after the morning skate, but wouldn't identify the questionable player. We saw Eaves on the training table getting his ankle worked on -- connect the dots, right? This isn't rocket science.
Eaves took part in the morning skate, so the injury isn't too severe.
