Cleary ready to return

Dan Cleary will be back in the Red Wings' lineup tonight against Columbus. He is expected to play on the third line with Valtteri Filppula and Jiri Hudler.

Cleary missed eight games because of a scratched cornea in his left eye. He said his vision has improved to 20-45 in that eye compared to 20-20 in his right eye.

At one point, the left eye's vision had regressed to 20-200, Cleary said.

... The fourth line will consist of Kris Draper, Kirk Maltby and Derek Meech, who replaces Darren McCarty (groin).

... Chris Osgood will be in net with Ty Conklin likely going Saturday night in Boston.
