When Red Wings coach Mike Babcock looks at Wednesday night's matchup against Anaheim, one thing stands out:
The Ducks rank 19th in the NHL in goals allowed (3.10 per game) and the Wings are tied for 20th (3.11).
"None of us would have predicted that at the start of the year," Babcock said, referring to two clubs that are typically among the league's best defensively. "So something's not right. It will be interesting to see how these teams get at it tonight. It's always a physical game in here. It's fun for us to play here."
PREDICTION: The Wings are at their best when they have to be, when they're most challenged. They will play their most complete game of the season, and their best defensive game of the season, for a 3-1 victory.
