Red Wings coach Mike Babcock flip-flopped wings Jiri Hudler and Mikael Samuelsson during Monday's game.
He put Samuelsson up with Henrik Zetterberg and Johan Franzen, and dropped Hudler to the third line with Valtteri Filppula and Dan Cleary.
"I don't know if I didn't like what was going on with either one of them," Babcock said. "So I just flipped them around. I don't know what I'm going to do.
"I like the (Marian) Hossa, Homer (Tomas Holmstrom), (Pavel) Datsyuk line. I haven't been as crazy about Z's (Zetterberg's) line since exhibition."
Babcock indicated he was even considering putting Cleary with Zetterberg and Franzen.
"We'll see what happens," he said. "I've got something to do (Tuesday) morning."
