Leino and more cuts coming for Wings

The Red Wings roster is now down to 29 players after sending forwards Justin Abdelkader, Cory Emmerton, Jan Mursak and Mattias Ritola after the boring 3-0 victory over Buffalo on Sunday.

Thank goodness these exhibition games are done.

It'll be interesting to see what the Wings do with the forwards. I've been very impressed with Ville Leino, who had another goal, his fourth of the exhibition season.

Leino doesn't play like a rookie. And given his professional experience in Finland, that's understandable. He has great puck sense, knows where to be in the offensive zone, and if he weren't in Detroit, if he were anywhere else around the NHL, he'd be on an opening night roster.
